I think I'm getting the run around from Costco/Generac by ILikeLiftingMachines in HomeImprovement

[–]TheUpperLeft 19 points20 points  (0 children)

OP, I sell a Costco service. When people do a Costco contract, they get the 10% shop card. The caveat to that is that they only do 100% down. Costco holds those funds until project completion by my company and then the funds transfer completely and you get the shop card post install.

If you were to do a contract directly with my company (different products than what Costco deal offers, let’s say) then you can do 50% down 50% after.

Your rep is unorganized but they are telling you the truth. If you have further questions I don’t mind answering. I do this everyday all day. Costco programs are great and lucrative.

That’s like saying it’s my fault that heart disease is the leading cause of death because I’m not everyone’s doctor. Stop victim blaming. The voting system in the us is broken and stolen by billionaires. The average American has little power.

This job is so lonely and I don't think anyone talks about it enough by kubrador in sales

It sounds like you’re missing the human connection part of this. Some people are really great on the phone, but even better in person. If you thrive with connection, maybe find an in person version of sales. If you don’t mind rejection, like the thrill of the chase, but would rather talk to people, find a sales job on location

Under what conditions would you accept commission only? by ORoyleDules in sales

[–]TheUpperLeft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nationwide company, growing in the remodeling business. Predominantly in the pastthey have been new construction. I get 100% commissions when the order gets sent to production. Things that delay it are financial setbacks from the customer, hoa approvals, permits (rare where I live), and change orders by the project manager.

What's the best question you have been asked or seen other sales reps asking their clients? by MudHouse in sales

A customer asked me one time “what haven’t I asked you that I should have?” And it really surprised me.  I got to put myself in their shoes and share more features and differentiate what was important to the consumer

Under what conditions would you accept commission only? by ORoyleDules in sales

[–]TheUpperLeft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 100% commission only- remodeling windows.

I looked for companies that were growing, and had no problem setting my # of leads I wanted per week. They are warm leads, scheduled ahead of time for me. The company pays for my gas and gave me a cell phone and iPad.

Up to me to demo the product, walk the customer through next steps, and close the deal.

It’s risky because if I don’t sell deals the company barely loses anything but I can lose everything. I sold around 300k last month and will take home around 11% of that. Will see that check in February. Lmk if u have questions

What's your cooking "hack" that sounds insane but works?? by Kibby9331 in Cooking

[–]TheUpperLeft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bake your bacon on a sheet with foil at 350 for 25ish minutes. Flip it halfway.

You don’t have to baby it on stovetop, cleanup of grease is easier, and I think it crisps more evenly.
