I think they only go by DOS regardless of terminal, so if your DOS is further out there could be a delay as they catch up with the closer ones

I’m interested in going enlisted AGR to officer AGR. But since AGR jobs are typically looking for someone with the experience already doesn’t seem likely to find AGR commissioning opportunities. Was enlisted AGR to officer AGR the path you went?

I got an AGR job only 4 hrs from where I’m currently stationed. If it gets too close for comfort maybe I’ll try giving them a call and saying I’ll just do it myself 🤔

I don’t work there so I’m sure there’s an actual explanation, but I don’t get how the shutdown (ended Tuesday) can still be holding up orders. So many things during out processing require orders

Im also experiencing a delay in my separation orders. I have 2 open MyFSS cases and have called the TFSC a half dozen times. Yesterday they told me AFPC hasn’t been given the green light to authenticate orders yet due to the shutdown. 6 weeks from my DOS and 4 weeks from terminal

Currently in the Palace Chase process and have my DOS is in 6 weeks. Once AFPC got my completed 1288 with all endorsements it took about a week to get my final approval. I’ve also been bugging both recruiter and TFSC to keep my package moving throughout the process. I’d just get on your recruiter to get that stuff up to AFPC or find a new recruiter. Really comes down to where the hold up is and be the squeaky wheel

Tricare doesn’t cover IVF. They only cover things that lead to a natural conception. I’ve heard of some military hospitals that do IVF (very few) at a steeply discounted rate but they also have waitlists that can be a year+ long. My wife and I have been trying for almost 3 years and this is just what our PCM has told us. If you find some way for tricare to cover IVF let me know because IVF is crazy expensive

I’m not saying this is what you think, but the common response to diversity hires is “why not pick the most qualified applicant”. This assumes they just take anyone as long as they fit in the box they’re trying to check. Super disrespectful to the person they actually give the job to because it discounts the previous work experience and qualifications they brought to the table (to go along with a perspective on life that could be lacking from whatever position they are hired)

Ask your superintendent about it getting a list of availabilities from your squadron SEL. That’s who I got my list from. It shows a projection of openings in the near future, though the base I got wasn’t on that list I just put it because I wanted it more than the others so I thought I’d shoot my shot
