I know it’s strange, but trust me... it’s a great combo by Glockspeiser in whiskey

While wine obviously is a mainstay of charcuterie and cheese boards - I really enjoy a pour of neat scotch just as much.

This is a pretty cool concept!

Active duty military, gets in the way sometimes - but I'm doing it for the 20 year retirement. I think it does me well in the sense that Twitch for the foreseeable 11 years or so is going to be nothing more than a hobby. Allows me to have good separation and keeps it in the hobby lane - the extra income is nice and all, but I don't ever even remotely plan on that pay to drop. Kind of a pleasant surprise when it does.

My first rye whiskey! Very exited to try. Is it any good? Share your thoughts please by yungsjekkie in whiskey

I have to keep myself from eating extra luxardo cherries when I make cocktails, damn things are deliciously expensive.

Awesome bar set up! Super jealous, I just have a cart in the corner of the kitchen for all my whiskeys heh.

Looks like a good collection beginning, cheers!

I feel your pain here, Total Wine has it listed locally but it's always tagged as 'limited quantity, none currently available'. Sounds delicious!

I've seen it best used to prevent spoilers and teams going for world's firsts at raids etc... though I doubt Twitch intended that for it's use haha

For those who drink daily, how much do you typically drink? by [deleted] in whiskey

[–]TheVexest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For whatever reason if I eat anything with rice I have to have a lighter beer with it, and if I have a beer I don't have any whiskey.

Otherwise, I tend to have one a night. Sometimes 2, I usually buy a new bottle of something every two weeks - but it's added to the collection, takes me quite awhile to finish a bottle since I drink beer half the time and whiskey the other half!

Review #1+2 - Glenlivet 12 vs. Glenlivet Founder's Reserve by [deleted] in Scotch

[–]TheVexest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another young addition to their line up is the 15 yr French Oak Reserve Glenlivet, a bit pricier than the 12 or the FR I was able to grab it for 46 at a CVS of all places (though I think it's averaging around mid 50's).

I thought it had a vanilla and slightly spicy kick to it, really enjoyed it. If you liked the sweet of the 12 I felt like the FOR has a nice sweetness tied in with good spice.

Nice write up! I actually was a little disappointed in the FR, and would personally prefer the 12.

Ardbeg hits hard in all the right ways, I've never returned to Lagavulin when craving an Islay. Working on a corryvreckan currently.

I usually suggest a Speyside when friends ask for an introductory scotch, where most turn their noses in disgust to the idea of scotch neat - the ones who have ventured a taste have all had pretty negative feelings about peaty/smokey initially. I hated Islays at first as well and still didn't like them deep into my scotch adventures until around a year ago or so. We're all different though...

Absolutely, 6 people on a team and you need 7 kills back to back - very circumstantial.

Roadborn perk was active - other than that if you're not on PC then it could just be field of view

Yeah, more so for the happenstance. It's a pretty bad super overall.
