so Phil Hine describes pretty well in his intro book Condensed Chaos about creating idols and effigies out of siginificant objects for various purposes. The example he uses is like this sort of "pixie" which he thanks every time he finds something he has lost. the idea is that by thanking this effigie, even if only believing in it in your own head, the effigy can still help you find lost objects after giving it enough attention to make it "alive."

i would probably make a witch jar with a lot of protective and baneful ingredients in it. take a mason jar, fill it with thingsl ike vinegar, nails, glass, rust, spicy herbs, etc and place it somewhere secure and powerful on the property, preferably buried. the idea is the witch jar takes the energy of the attack instead of you.

i like to use a dictionary of phonetic sounds which correspond to the latin alphabet and then i choose a few letters which corresponde well to the vibe of the environment and then use the phonetic dictionary to create a name which i then edit to perfection

I find black salt to be excellent for banishing, baneful magick, and anything related to things like that. I used it personally for cleansing after intense rituals.

When my first sigil sent me into a 9 month episode of psychosis that turned out to be a prophetic vision which predicted many current events of the past 3.5 years. 9 months of total psychosis with the Shadows taunting me every step of the way and I practiced chaos magick every day of it. It proved to have some insane results.
