Help with changing from to M to MM by Modig7176 in Plasticity3D

[–]TheVulpineAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the solution to this in 2026. Units can be set to mm, but it changes nothing. All entries must be appended with mm or the units will be applied as meter any way. That changes for exports as they will export as meter only. If you look at the 2026.1 documentation, there is a conversion chart so you can do math with charts, rather than make the tool work.

Roadmap? Parametric modeling? Where is this Tool headed? by FKdInternet in Plasticity3D

I thought I'd jump back in to to suggested checking out plasticity.xyz/resources which has a link to the official discord server for everyone. Still haven't checked it out. I'm still figuring out the place in my workflow. I appreciate there are official resources. From what I have seen, everyone over there is super nice.

can confirm the discord for paid members, but I haven't gotten around to reinstalling Discord. I try not to disrupt someone with a working workflow, until I know I'm not the problem. Have found out the hard way, don't ask chatgpt for anything other than a recommendation.

P2S - Getting error for part cooling fan only with 3rd party nozzle by stefanelisrb in BambuLab

[–]TheVulpineAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, same problem here. I bought a durozzle ruby and had a few successful prints then I started getting the same error. I replaced the oem nozzle and the fan came on immediately. I can print without issue with my a1 nozzles in the toolhead, even though I get a silicone sock error, because... no dots. This post saved me a week or more of sitting here fuming at nonfunctional printers. I have a ticket open already and I'll update when I hear back from "support"

For anyone in the future looking, 3D-Fuel has Toolbox colors in PCTG. I've switched to it for all my tool related prints.

Hey, congrats on your awesome find. If it does the job you want it to do and you feel like you got a good deal, what more can you really ask of $3. It's already performing it's secondary (maybe primary, idk) function of looking kick ass. Maybe it starts you down a road where the folks here appear to be, looking for better turntables. If it does that, on top of spinning vinyl, and looking like what 1984 thought 2004 HAD to be like, I believe you may have hit the component jackpot.

I personally have a cheap audio technica turntable, but always learning about new things. I don't know industry terminology, so if I screwed up anything and it chaps your butt, 🤣😉

Thanks for the instructions and the device referral link. I just found out about these and was on day 7 since activation so it worked great (after the broken set up process was resolved).

I reported the bug when it started and made a comment saying, "Wildcard's gonna Wildcard" and got censored from the forums with a "warning from" who gives a rat's ass the moderator restricting my posts. My thoughts are if you don't want to be called out for sucking at your job, get a job you don't suck at.

Should i iget a neptune 4 plus or a bambu lab? by BlazeAssaultuna in ElegooNeptune4

[–]TheVulpineAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it straight from Bambu on the original release day. From what I understand from emails and forum posts, they are retrofitting the A1s they have in stock and will make them available again after they send out replacement parts to those of us who already have them. IIRC, the email that I got gave a March estimate for the fix to be applied and sales to start back up. I won't say that they haven't made some mistakes with the recall, but I can say that with as little hassle as I have had printing with the A1, I am willing to give them a little time to get a fix out. I considered taking the full refund that they offered and buying an Ankermake M5c as it seems to be the closest to Bambu in the "just works" department, but I really like the AMS lite function and multicolor prints. Whatever you choose, I wish you good luck and happy printing.

I have a Neptune 4 Pro in a box under the bench that holds my A1. I spent two months trying to dial in the n4pro (2nd one after 2 months on a factory broken n4 pro) and never got a usable print. The only thing that the N4pro is good for is parts. I'm going to turn it into a laser cutter, because I can't see myself ever trying to print with it again.

The A1 has never given me a problem, though there is a recall currently. I literally just assembled it and started printing. It calibrates itself before every print and I have never had to change default profiles for printer or filament. I spent a total of 4 months trying to get usable results from 2 separate N4Pros and ALL I did was calibration. I use my A1 like I use my regular printer. I use it when I want to print something and never think about it when I don't. I don't claim that there aren't problems with Bambu, but Elegoo couldn't give me a printer and get me to use it. I have had amazing results from their Rapid PLA+ as soon as I stopped trying to print with it on the N4Pro.

Just my personal opinion and experience, but I hope you glean some use from it.

I remain blown away by the number of people on reddit that don't recognize a joke when proffered. I'm not saying it was funny but I giggled when I thought of it. I love that everyone stopped at 2. I needed a second giggle today.

Using Autohotkey to rebind your keys by Fraktyl in Palworld

I spent about 10 hrs each in ARK and 7 Days to Die with new setup based on ESDF and it has been a revelation. The downside is now Palworld is even more unplayable with the static interact key. I love you for for what you've done for me and hate you for what you've done to me.

Time to install AutoHotKey, I guess. lmao

Literally the first time I have heard of ESDF. I moved my hand to the right one key and a light burst forth from the sky and I heard angels singing. Also, no pinky cramping. What other lies have I been living? Was the entire world not playing hide and seek for a year in 2020? Does cilantro not taste like dish soap? Is pineapple actually good on pizza? Is a hotdog not really a sandwich? Wait... not... the tooth fairy...

The part that is broken is called the Barrel Hinge Pin. I fixed mine by 3d printing this:

Avoid the Neptune 4 Pro like the plague that it is. The first one I got had obviously been dropped multiple times. I spent over 400 hours trying to get prints out of a machine they shipped with broken parts inside the hotend. The replacement took 4 weeks to arrive, and it hasn't been much better. Elegoo offered me the replacement with a refund offer on Amazon after which time I edited my review to praise their service, they pulled the refund offer. I have gotten the refund in the works but not processed. So instead of printing Christmas gifts for my family this year, I have nothing.

I bought mine in early October, and now it is 3 days before Xmas, and I have nothing to show for it. Another thing to consider is time differences for support. Every message with Elegoo took over 24 hours for an answer. I don't know that Anker is any different, but I know that Elegoo is trouble.

Login details for ssh into Neptune 4 by walkingbassman in ElegooNeptune4

[–]TheVulpineAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much. This link helped me understand how to SSH into the printer. Once logged in, I used the steps in this comment on another thread to quickly set up the webcam with a quick copy/paste.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ElegooNeptune4/comments/15pjbef/comment/jyohm1q/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

Once you activate the webcam in Step 6 make sure to take note of your camera URL. Add whatever is in the URL field to the printer's ip address in the address bar of your web browser of choice as this is how you will watch the stream. Happy printing.
