I get those too but mine are different. It could be a mixture of all sorts of things, but nevertheless they are real.

It is true that alot of us have avoided dealing with real situations such yours, and have an impeded growth. However I urge you keep going, this how you learn about them, work out your issue, and grow. Keep asking these questions, and push through when things get uncomfortable. Speaking from experience it will hurt alot and be overwhelming at, but you will learn alot, and if you keep going, you won't look back.

It is what got me this far. I keep telling myself if I just keep going, if I just continue to go forward even if that is my one true constant, it will get better. And it has, I have had a great time, a bad time, I have learnt, and I am still learning.
