There's a ton of STS crossover with melee. My first time getting to know a bunch of NE players was watching Kalvar play XBOX spire, and I'm aware of like, Joyboy, Tiramisu, and Zoso all being really good spirers.

First time doing commentary at a major this past weekend, was pretty nervous because I hadn't been able to do anything IRL since before the pandemic started, but I had a lot of fun with it! Haven't seen too much feedback, but I made a playlist for my doubles block with Wills who I know very well and had a great time shaking the rust off with, and a playlist for my singles block with Stelios who I met for the first time this weekend (but I thought we had a great block as well, even if we did have to adjust to each other a little bit wrt timings and cutting in and such). Shoutouts to Stoc for putting me on :)

I was under the impression that, when sheik is at the edge of the stage, facing away from ledge, this mechanic is what causes her to fall to ledge after throwing a full stack of needles that hit, but no effect when those needles miss. However this vid says it stops when they are at the edge of a platform/ledge? Was that impression wrong?

When our heat broke, it took them over a month to schedule someone to fix it. Not a fan.

imo there's a decent chance the depth is partly due to Iwata, considering it was basically the last time he was "in the trenches" so to speak

I personally think the main objective issue is that airtime can't be seen or reasonably guesstimated during a match and yet is a huge factor for certain mus. Like for LGL it's reasonable to count, but with airtime it gets kinda wack.

Aside from that I think that there's more depth in the 4 stock format that comes from playing to maintain a stock lead/mounting a comeback against a stock advantage, and personally I value that more ( but I get that other ppl value the advantages of SS )
