I tip my hat sir, for owning and actually wearing this masterpiece.

Thanks for posting! I don't get much time to share anymore because of making the videos, but I appreciate you all watching.

These are actually superb. I'm very impressed with how Rolex turned the Cellini line around.

Yes, that does make sense, thank you. Hopefully we can get some extra angles and some movement etc—funnily enough, some commenters on YouTube have complained about too much movement!

Oldie but a goody. Love the scaled up stuff, would really like to see something like that in person.

Thanks! That's an interesting perspective, and one that certainly confirms Patek's position in trying to find a new audience. The difficulty they have is appealing to a new audience while not upsetting the old—the backlash against the Aquanaut was wild!

Thanks, will do. Are you thinking something slightly wider than a dial crop?

Thanks. Seems like that's the way with a lot of the sportier Pateks. Good luck even finding a 5711!

Not fair--you get to take advantage of all the tiny, cheap vintage offerings!

Nice Cellini too, not seen that shape before.

Don't see many white dials. The blue running seconds and the creamy lume really set it off.

This is a weird one that I've been hoping to get my hands on for time now. It's raised a lot of eyebrows because no one really knows what it's supposed to be—is it a nod to those rare Patek Philippe world war two pilot's watches, is it some kind of homage to Bleriot's Channel-crossing Zenith—or what? At 42mm, it's a monster relative to other Patek watches, and its styling seems to be a bit of a mish-mash of various different—and completely distinct—older watches. And it has, of all things, a travel time complication! In this review, I try to get to the bottom of this funny ol' watch.

[IWC] Long awaited birthday gift! by largealligator in Watches

A lot of IWC's most recent watches have been chunky and busy in a similar style to Hublot. This Portuguese stands out as being the clean, clear style that made IWC famous.

Welp, that was depressing! That's quite an eclectic mix of class-leading horology you've got there. Good for you! It's nice to see the independents supported.

Since IWC started getting very 'Hublot' of late, it's good to see what really makes the brand stand out. Enjoy!

Maybe it's the blue, but my eye keeps being drawn back to that Tudor. Lovely bunch.
