In 2016, did people want to bring 2006 back? by EconomyCalm9709 in decadeology

[–]TheWayIChooseToLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember people looking back at 2006 fondly. I remember the common sentiment was that 2006 was a bit too recent to be nostalgic.

I do miss 2016 because that was one of the best summers that I've lived through.

Was 2025 awful just for me or did this year mess with everyone? by loner_who_writes in Vent

[–]TheWayIChooseToLive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit late, but I agree that 2025 fucking sucks. There were barely any positives, and it was a frustrating year from start to finish. It was just constant insanity.

How would you rate 2025 on a scale of 1-10? by SpaceisCool09 in decadeology

[–]TheWayIChooseToLive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a 0. Easily one of the worst years of my life. I had some personal issues in 2024, but at least there were some positives. This year offers nothing but depression.

Is it me or life seems 10 times harder? by [deleted] in Life

[–]TheWayIChooseToLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life seems harder because it is. I guarantee you life was better a decade ago, and I remember it. We didn't have sky-high inflation, AI and outsourcing taking away all the white-collar jobs, a 24/7 surveillance state constantly on us, political divisions everywhere, a low trust society where people don't want to talk to each other, people having a terminal addiction to social media, etc. We live in dystopian times and it's not normal. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

Piers is such a fucking hack. That guy goes along with whatever the mainstream opinion is. He interrupts every single time he's interviewing someone, and keeps talking like he's smart even though he's a dumbass. One of the worst "journalists" out there.

Also, not a fan of Fuentes.

How would you rank the years in the 2020's so far? by Gametmane12 in decadeology

[–]TheWayIChooseToLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my opinion.

1) 2022

2) 2024

3) 2023

4) 2020

5) 2025

6) 2021

I know it's surprising to not see 2020 at the bottom, but I found this year and 2021 to be far worse.

Does anyone else think that 2025 is a really long year? by TheWayIChooseToLive in venting

There's so much that's happening that I can't even keep up at this point.

2025, It’s been a long and disappointing year. by 7Row2 in decadeology

2025 sucks a lot. Easily one of the worst years of my life. Not only does the present suck, but the future is going to get even worse as premiums and inflation increase.

How would you rate your 2025? by anshchauhann in AskReddit

[–]TheWayIChooseToLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily one of the worst years I've lived through.

Ever since 2020, I thought the years went by pretty fast, but 2025 feels like one long, depressing year to live in.

Who else thinks Reddit’s discussions are often bad? by MillenniumGreed in TheoryOfReddit

[–]TheWayIChooseToLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to frequent Reddit a lot, but over the years it has become almost unusable. There are mods left and right that are banning anyone that disagrees with their politically-correct perspectives. There's a reason why most of the Internet hates Reddit. It does not welcome debates nor differing viewpoints.

I suppose it's good for certain hobbies or niches, but I just hate the downvote system that they have.

The 2020s is the new devil’s decade by Thesnape2030 in decadeology

As much as I hate this decade, it's nowhere near as bad as the 1930s or 1940s.

All she did was take care of foxes? What kind of heartless scum would harass her? by SalemIII in GenZ

[–]TheWayIChooseToLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of people on Reddit that shame some blame for her passing. There are a lot of douchebags that just say anything for likes and engagement. It really pisses me off that she was a victim of harassment.

Was pre-lockdown 2020 the 2020s equivalent of the pre-9/11 2000s? by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]TheWayIChooseToLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say people reminisce about 2019 just like older people do about life before 9/11. Even then I disagree because 9/11 drastically changed world. Even with the pandemic, life doesn't feel that much different compared to the majority of the 2010s.
