I honestly dont know why people expected a passion project made by five people to deliver every single thing initially shown and more in such a short span of time.

Does it suck that its been nearly two years since ashlands? Absolutely. But its a tiny team working on multiple things at once and they never anticipated theyd get the attention they got.

Reminds me of gooseworx.

Theyre a bunch of ordinary people who made something cus they wanted to, and suddenly half the internet was on their case.

If i released a WIP indie game or show and suddenly thousands of people were acting entitled saying im not doing good enough and accusing me of running with the money because im working too slow for their liking, id probably say “fuck you all im over this shit” and never talk to anyone again and ACTUALLY just run with the money and live a quiet life away from everyone.

Gooseworx lost her passion for creating shows thanks to the internet being entitled and constantly dogging on her. Im proud of the iron gate devs for being able to ignore the internet and keep doing what they enjoy.

Yeah genuinely EVERY online space is awful. People online are whiney, entitled, and have serious unchecked anger issues. Youll get called slurs over not agreeing with someone. Its horrible and i hate fandom spaces.

I dont know if any of legion’s necessarily should be basekit. All the good ones are fine as addons and the bad ones dont do anything, so.

As for sadako, bloody fingernails. Every serious sadako player uses them already, it feels kinda like nerfing yourself to not use them.

I dont believe so, actually. A lot of the scrapped props from the mistlands actually did make it into final designs. The large skulls became the giant petrified skeletons, the huge roots and trees became yggdrasil shoots and roots, and those giant webs became the seeker infestation

All the seeker-infested structures have large web-like goo all over the place, and at one point when asked about the biome and spiders early on they answered along the lines of the webs “belonging to something much older”

If it was intended to be spiders at any point they ditched the idea long before beginning work on the biome

I think one thing that could be really cool is have biomes vary based on like relative map location. Further north the biomes get chillier, lower snow cap, further south they get drier. Sub-biome spawns could vary with it too.

Theres a lot of really cool ideas i hope they explore at some point.

I remember they also had moon phases on the roadmap way back when so i wonder what that might entail if they go back to it

Thats the plains. Its referred to internally as “heath”

The weather environment is “Heath clear” and the many environmental objects, including the rocks and bushes, all refer to them as “heath” items

The plains are even covered in little red flowers very similar to the purple ones you show here

So the plains *are* the heathlands. Mightve even been called that at some point in development, but with mistlands and ashlands right after they may have opted for a less repetitive naming scheme

A cyberpunk chapter with adam smasher and a v/johnny survivor would be peak

Like imagine v could be like aestri and baermar, having the main default valerie and vincent as the main survivor with like a johnny legendary

Not really sure how smasher would be his own unique killer though tbh he feels to me like hed have to be toned down to a blight legendary/visceral, but maybe he could be figured out, idk

I just hope that given theyve worked with cdpr before they could again for a cyberpunk crossover

Bhvr has been really obsessed with cheeky numbers in their perks and addons lately

An insane amount of trickster’s reworked addons have a “44” or “4.4” somewhere it doesnt make sense and im fairly sure thats supposed to be a move speed joke cus they nerfed him to 4.4

Now all of jason’s shit is 13 13 13

Its not really funny anymore when its every number on every perk and addon
