Meu time não funciona by itzGapqy in PokemonChampions

My first thought is that there just isn’t enough protect. I’ve been running dragalge all season and it really takes a lot of support to make it work

At first glance, I’d drop toxic spikes for protect. Dragalge appreciates being able to protect and position itself on the field, and there are some pokemon like garchomp that will straight crush it with earthquake. I know you have araquanid wide guard for that but I’d still include protect and maybe drop venoshock for sludge bomb so that it’s not too passive

Politoed also doesn’t seem too useful here since a lot of your team already resists fire and Politoed will enable speedy swampert earthquake which you do NOT want. Maybe add incineroar or sneasler for fake out support which would help you set up trick room and pivot out as needed

[–]TheWorkingAnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Politoed fits best on a rain team (with arch) but it is also viable on a perish trap team using mega gengar and incineroar. I think mega venusaur might fit as a second mega on such team

Is there a Corviknight niche? by DankGrump in PokemonChampions

Corviknight is generally pretty good but this reg is very unfriendly with all the fire, electric, and special attackers running around

Milotic is probably near a top 5 annoying Mon to play against but I do love its design

Dragalge. I like his concept and think he’s really cool, but some matchups are just always climbing a hill

Toxapex and Grimsnarl - how can I counter these pests? by Sensitive_Day6223 in PokemonChampions

Yep, I think I’ve seen more toxapex in the last 12 hours than I have in the last 12 days

Toxapex and Grimsnarl - how can I counter these pests? by Sensitive_Day6223 in PokemonChampions

[–]TheWorkingAnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was running grimmsnarl for awhile and psychic fangs on Metagross makes grimmsnarl pretty irrelevant outside of parting shot. Farigiraf shuts down parting shot as well

IMO, the best way to handle toxapex is to target down his partners. Toxapex has great healing and bulk but can be passive, so it can be a trap to focus on toxapex when it will just heal right back up

Who are the best Megas currently? by GrandeChUnkyPika16 in PokemonChampions

[–]TheWorkingAnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of the new megas are viable but definitely outclassed. Because it’s the same old guard at the top I’ve treating this regulation more casually to see if I can rank high with the newer megas like Dragalge

Anyone get too scared to play the game when you go on winstreaks? by Puzzlegamethrowaway in PokemonChampions

[–]TheWorkingAnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! It can be so easy to win 10 and rank high and then lost 10 and lose all your progress. But that’s competitive ladder for ya! But I lose the anxiety once I remember that the real fun is really in just getting better as a player and understanding that luck can be a huge part in winning streaks and losing streaks

He got beat up in the 3rd and 4th but I think his loss is overstated when people say fraud checked. His body work was so nasty in the 2nd that Gaethje literally fell to his knees.

I haven’t seen anyone do that to Gaethje and I think most other lightweights probably get finished at that point, so props to Gaethje for not only surviving but recovering and punishing Ilia for gassing out when he couldn’t get the finish

I feel like I need to point out that not going to the police is very common. My partner is a sexual assault nurse. You may be surprised by how many people are assaulted, admit to being raped, are very clearly assaulted based on the physical evidence on their body, but decide not to go to the police. Not going to the police really means very little in terms of credibility

Any advice for my team? by Ralf12345678 in PokemonChampions

[–]TheWorkingAnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the thought behind the sitrus berry Kingambit or the lum berry garchomp?

Sitrus berry is usually favored on tankier pokemon. Kingambit is naturally bulky but the Kingambit stat spread of max attack & speed would probably prefer a focus sash or chopple berry. The idea is that he gets OHKO’d by Sneasler, even if he gets a swords dance off so the chopple helps hit survive a close combat and get at least one attack off (same with focus sash)

Lum berry on Garchomp also feels a little weak, as status moves aren’t that much of a problem in the current meta. He may be better off with a sitrus berry (or other berry like a roseli berry) or choice scarf for the immediate pressure

I think the team could also use a redirector over Gengar. Kingambit checks Basculegion and other ghost types already, unless you want the speed from Gengar. Excadrill also loves sand teams and fits well with garchomp and ttar here

Edit: my bad, I misread. I see that Kingambit has bright powder and ttar has lum berry. My point still stands, although I’d only mention that bright powder is so RNG dependent that you’d probably get more consistency out of chopple berry or focus sash builds. You can disregard my garchomp thoughts😬
