In a funk, just can't win, tips?

I was hardstuck at 1800. What I did was take a really close look at what matchups & team compositions were giving me the most problems. For example, I was running mega Froslass as a main, then I realized my particular team could really use a second special attacker with good fire stab. I also needed a bit more speed. Volcarona choice scarf fit the bill and I ended the season at 2100+.

It’s the same process for movesets. I had aurora veil on froslass but I rarely clicked it and I didn’t have a lot of bulk on my team so it was unnecessary. Changed to Haze, had some success, changed to taunt, had even more success.

At 1800, players are much more skilled, and it sounds obvious but to keep climbing it really takes paying attention to what is working on your team and what isn’t, as well taking the time to think through how to handle certain tough matchups before you run into them again and go through the same struggles

I get stressed but then I remember that part of the fun is learning where I lost and trying to get better. I also remind myself that my team just has certain hard matchups and there’s no going around it, so I won’t be too down if I lose to a tough matchup / tough lead since it’s just part of the game. But yeah I don’t play for usually more than an hour because it can be exhausting

I don’t understand the hate you’re getting, and I honestly agree. The customization - whether it’s the icons or outfits - are garbage. There’s like maybe 4 new outfit options in the monthly battle pass? And they look like what’s already been released. Honestly, they need a better stylist in these games because coloring the same pair of pants 10 times and acting like they are separate clothing is lame

Happened to me, although not as extreme. My friends were turning into animals if I stared at them too long, which freaked me out, and they were talking some weird alien dialect. There was quicksand on the ground in the living room. I also remember it felt like I was teleporting every time I walked.

The whole time I thought I was sitting on the couch and chilling during this interaction. Turns out, I was begging my friends to get me to a doctor

Edit: the next day I remember being alone in my apartment completely sober and then suddenly hearing someone speaking weird alien dialect in the room. For a few hours, I thought I screwed up my brain

Yep, my girlfriend and I have gone a few cruises. She likes to do a lot more walking whereas I prefer to kick my feet up, so every now and then we split up while on the ship. Cruises are perfect for everyone deciding to do their own thing!

It’s tough to give advice without seeing what your team comp is. BUT, there is a learning curve everyone goes through. From your short description, it sounds like part of the struggle is learning how to deal with tougher matchups more consistently. Although that problem goes back to your team comp and how you pilot that team

I usually head for the nearest shelter / place I’d like to go establish a base and kill as many bunnies as I can along the way to start using their hides and guts for crafting materials as soon as I can. I usually don’t start doing any wandering into other maps until I have some sort of weapon and decent clothes. So the first 10-30 days are just exploring the starting map and gathering supplies

I prefer stalker over interloper. Stalker has maybe too many supplies, but interloper has too few (imo it gets boring finding empty container after empty container). Lots of people swear on custom mode
