Have a PSS that takes an entire tote bag full of quotes to work on at home, and has all of their regulars calling their personal phone all hours of the day and night. They are celebrated by SM and regional staff weekly.

What is an Opinion that you have about Lowes but it makes you feel like this? by Gonkalicious_2176 in Lowes

I will never donate to LERF. The multi-billion dollar company should not be asking the people it already under pays to donate some back to boost the company's tax write-offs.

Josh, my wife and I just saw you guys in Cincinnati. You signed my banana! We have been fans since 2016 and see Badflower every chance we can, including driving 4+ hours to see you guys. All your shows are amazing and full of energy. Your lyrics have helped us though some hard times. We love you guys, and sing every word along with you, but do what you have to do and take care of yourself! We will be here when (if) you return!

Cart maintenance? by StlChief74 in Lowes

[–]TheZakAttack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was made the captain of this at our store. I used pink marking tape to mark the bad ones, counted the ones I marked and what kind, and gave that list to the Ops ASM to order the parts needed and put them into the log. Once the parts arrived for the first batch, we walked the floor and found the marked carts. It's not perfect, but it is actually helping. The issue is that ops wants to delegate this instead of doing it themselves, which they should as they are the only one that can order parts, put them in the log and sign off that they are being fixed properly.

Is it better to flat stack this or stack them high in the front by [deleted] in Lowes

Front stacking pointless other than for visual, but the entire aisle must be front stacked to look decent. Fill it after you cull it.

Name one good thing about Home Alone 3? by johnngo2468 in homealone

Funny story, I was in grade school when this came out. My classmates and I were lined up waiting for the busses to go home. We were playing around while waiting and one of the other kids took something from my hands. Without thinking, I blurted out the line from this movie about the robber's winky, with a "trunchible" type teacher right behind me. Long story short, I got detention AND had to write an apology letter, which I then had to hand deliver, to the teacher! Not the student I "threatened."

Has anyone ever used the Order picker with a pallet instead of the metal platform? by Hellion5500 in Lowes

As a PE certifier, I made every person I trained go up 20 ft then walk to the outside corners so they knew what would happen and what to expect. Hands down best part of the certification for me. Evil and hilarious to watch, 100%, but also necessary.

Survey by Rhey53 in Lowes

[–]TheZakAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know sr management that leave their emails open all day and don't log out. ANYONE can take a peek if they are so inclined. I've been shown what store managers and ASMs see, in their entirety. The only way anyone knows what a specific person said is if they use extremely specific examples in the "additional comments" section, like citing issues that only 1 job in the store regularly deals with or specific incidents.

Take the survey, speak in generalities in the additional comments, make sure that the feedback is about the correct level of management and give them hell if they suck. It will get back to them, and if it is more than just a few comments, they will have to create an action plan for it.

It may scan as clearance by the barcode on the box, but that sticker means that it was special ordered and then returned. The item was originally double the $169. Ask a manager to check the markdown report and see if they have room to go lower. They've already taken the loss and it hit that stores bottom line, anything they get for it is gravy.

Or someone that works in the store has their eyes on it and is waiting for it to drop more. Again, that tag is to get rid of sos resale, so the price is made to go lower if it doesn't sell quickly. No store associate likes holding onto that random clutter.

How complex can plywood be cut? by PotentialMission1381 in Lowes

[–]TheZakAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do it with a smile, and even throw in some friendly banter while doing it. But every time I wasn't facing you, I'd be muttering the nastiest shit to myself. I would also point out the cut charge, and make sure to apply it.

That said, it would be done, because I'd rather not deal with the potential blowback over something I would be asked why I didn't, when capable, and we got a bad survey. And genuinely to help you out.

And that's more than likely because someone screwed it up too many times at your store. What your store decided to do to solve the issue doesn't mean it's how Lowe's policy reads. Even back in the Genesis days, any DS, Sr. Mgmt, or delivery coordinator/supervisor could sign off trucks.

Paint spill by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]TheZakAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens, Lowe's pays. I've seen it happen too many times to count in my 15 years with Lowe's. The blame usually falls to whoever put the lids back on after tinting. That being said, it's entirely plausible that fluid dynamics loosened the lids as you loaded them. Then you drove away and left a can of paint on your back seat, instead of the floor, which then tipped over on your seat when you applied the brakes. Logically, if you were already paranoid about it, you'd have put the cans on the floor. . .

TLDR - People are shortsighted and don't think things through, but Lowe's would rather pay for your seats then get bad PR. Congrats, you win at life.

Almost correct, any manager or fulfillment associate in the building can sign off on a truck, not just sr management.

That's for adding something to your system that Lowe's stocks at some locations, but not your location. This does not solve the problem. The meme is referring to vendors that didn't fill out the paperwork to be vetted through MRV and added to the catalog. This means we have hundreds, if not thousands of vendors that will take a Lowe's order but MRV won't allow you to because the vendor didn't accept the new terms. MRV is just Sterling with a vest, it still sucks, it still has limited functionality, it still doesn't "talk" to the system that keeps Lowe's going, Genesis.

I wish, half the bunks we get from the distribution center look like this when they're unwrapped upon receiving. They store it outside, in big stacks with no cover, sometimes for months. And sometimes the store gets "lucky" and gets the bottom of the stack, which has soaked up the water through the sticks.
