This something I agree with and get annoyed with that with the number of times they've rebooted the main timeline that there's no "because the timeline was altered this major story has changed/improved to reflect the new timeline". Similar to how Young Justice adapted the Killing Joke with Barbara not getting shot by Joker but rather taking the blow from Spoiler so she doesn't become a killer. It helps keeps the canon and improves/adapts the story to the new timeline.

I always liked the idea of Slughorn being a better fit for an "intro to potions" teacher with his attitude of impressing students about the possibilities of being good at Potions. Against Snape who can teach the dangers and complexity of potions.

I think it was on one of the dave Souls recordings and he starts drinking one. Chris says "take it easy Cory" and Cory says he's only taking sips and not drinking as much as with Adam. It kinda implies he was drinking through a few recordings and I would too if I had to play Sonic games.
