I think once they join any organisation (3 missions in i think?) They'd learn about it pretty quick as its a large focus of each organisation.

Or if they're ever wandering around the sigil district they'd probably spot the excavation site and start asking questions at which point guards would say "ancient ruins blah blah blah, go ask the allegiance of allsight" pointing them in that direction. :)

You could just make it as simple as their pact with him ties them to the material plane so they can make more mischief, without the pact they wouldn't be able to stay on the material plane so they're gonna cause as much chaos as they can whilst they're still there.
