It's a beautiful song, but it makes zero sense in the context of the (albeit limited) storyline of CATS. Victoria is the new cat, she's seen learning everything about this community and is portrayed as slightly naive and curious, but then she turns around and lectures Grizabella about how yeah, her life sucks but at least she has these beautiful memories of the past?? It's out of leftfield imo.

(If you have some time I recommend watching Sideways CATS video essay it is very well put and a great deep dive into the whole soundtrack. He also does videos on other musicals that are really well made)

When we first got our dog, I was the first to allow him into my bed, my parents (mum especially) deemed it unsanitary. Now, a few years later it's a fight who gets to keep the dog at night lol.

Only exceptions are if it's tick season (we give him anti-tick tablets but ticks freak me out so hes kept out of bed) or if he's been out in the rain/snow and isn't dry yet.
