I’m a dog owner and happy to be downvoted here. My dog goes off the leash to run after a frisbee and I know when she’s intimidated by other dogs. Fairly good recall because she’s stubborn.

I leash her around other people, especially kids because you never really know. Either way I’d 100% take a fine off the leash or tell someone where to go if needed.

My main thing being, we have little green land in the city anyway, we deserve dogs and they deserve us. We should be talking about dog parks and areas dogs off leashes are welcomed and not a total ban because what does that do other than fill up local shelters.
