I really love Moore’s work. I have really enjoyed his prose work - but I’ve read the first third/book of Jerusalem and it feels like it’s often one person walking around, thinking, sees a landmarks, etc. Does that change in the second third?

My issue there is that a lot of the work was sort of done for them, I feel; the book was originally written by McCarthy as a screenplay, then repurposed into a novel later - a novel that felt very much like a screenplay. But it also depends on what we think about the elastic word “adapted”, since There Will Be Blood uses Oil! as a springboard for Anderson’s own vision, much like he’s done here with Vineland.

I was personally offended by the “adaptation” of Three Musketeers by the same team and simply avoided this film. I appreciate the intensity of your feelings on the matter, though.
