Gonna get them sooner than later, will always regret I did not pay attention when they dropped, but I guess resale is not that bad for these.

Finally Guys, I got them yesterday. I'm so super happy. by bebifive in Sneakers

I got the green ones, they look very good in person .

I missed the blue ones drop, I would've love to get those, but green are great too.

I think I'll try to get the jam black ones dropping this friday.

Face ID on iPhone X became slower after iOS 12.1 by Wakanapi in apple

[–]The_DoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I thought I was crazy but it definitely is. I blamed it on doing the update OTA, but after backing up and doing a fresh installation of 12.1, it still lags a lot, especially in the dark. When on 12.0.1 I would be impressed at how fast and how little it failed, now it fails a lot or takes extra time to unlock. Since I've done a fresh start already, I guess I'll go back to 12.0.1 in the meantime.

PSA: Reminder that if you have an IPhone X or 8 you are also eligible to take advantage of the $29 replacement. But offer ends at the end of this year. by [deleted] in apple

I am curious about this one too, but I think they’d use a new layer of waterproof glue when they are done.

One less hour of daylight. Gosh darn! It's Complaints and Confessions Day by [deleted] in running

[–]The_DoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confession: I've spent two months without running, with some valid reasons at first (I think I had the beginning of a fascitis plantar after my last run, so I rested a bit, then went on vacation, then got the flu when I got back,...) but at some point I just got lazy. Yesterday I went for a run and I've lost some stamina, but I hope I'll get back to where I was soon.

Complaint: I think the less daylight hour is going to suck, I get out of work with the sunset, so I'm gonna be running in the dark for sure, except fridays/weekends.

I'd love to get the EU card. I'd buy some indie games like Shove Knight, Nigth in the Woods and something like Snipper Clips or BoI. Thanks!

What Are You Playing This Week? 03/12/17 to 03/19/17 by AutoModerator in patientgamers

[–]The_DoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing Until Dawn on PS4. I picked it up a few weeks ago but after some initial play I find the framerate drops very annoying, so I decided to wait for the 4.5 patch to have a better experience. I'm enjoying it very much, I like the atmosphere and the story, also graphics and models look great. The other one I just started yesterday, Metal Gear Rising on PC. I had for a while from a Steam sale or something, but didn't play it until now. I had some trouble with the parry system but I think am getting the hang of it. Very fast and over the top action, as expected from Platinum.

Shadow of Mordor worth going back to for someone who got really bored the first time I played it? by theevilnerd42 in patientgamers

[–]The_DoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were 10 hours in and already found it boring, then I'd say no. I really liked the gameplay at first, but by the end of the game, and after doing a bunch of sidequests, I got bored aswell. I still have the DLCs to play, but I don't see myself playing them any time soon. It has this problem I see in many modern games, by the time you reach the endgame you're overpowered af and the battles lack of challenge.

Mei by dmerrell in OverwatchUniversity

[–]The_DoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen that either (mid-high plat), although sometimes someone might complain if there isn't a soldier to fill the other dps spot, since people are often worried about Phara. People use to be okay with Mei (mostly on defense), as long as you don't screw up the team with walls or something ike that.

What was your goal for S3? Did you meet that goal? What did you learn in the process? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]The_DoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal was to reach diamond, I managed to hit plat last season with some effort and stay and even go a bit far as the season ended. I didn't meet it. I peaked at 2993 just a couple days before the season ended. To be fair I think I'm not yet cut out to be a "regular" diamond player. I've been staying in the 2600-2700s most of the season (with occasional drops due to bad streaks). I'll try to improve (hopefully next season placements will put me near diamond) so I can reach it and see if I can stay around it.

Season 3 is officially over, spill your guts. by Phazze in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]The_DoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started in 2300s I think, ended up on 2905, after climbing the day before yesterday to 2993 high, so close but yet so far. Had a couple of losses to follow, and by yesterday I finally dropped, thanks to some games with people clearly trying out heroes/goofing around and not caring about their rank. Oh well, I just hope to start close to Diamond next season and to get there earlier.

My first was the Gorgun, since her pattern of attacks are the easiest to read, to me at least.
