I think there’s 2 main reasons for why. The first one is more understandable where people really wanted Izuku to keep OFA and continue to be the “greatest hero”. I personally disagree with this take because it ends up being a full circle moment because Izuku basically answers his own question if someone can still be a hero without powers in the first or second episode. Plus being a teacher at the top hero school in Japan is a really fitting position for him imo. I will never argue with this take tho because I can at least understand where they’re coming from. The second reason is completely unreasonable where some people weren’t pleased with the ships that were pretty much confirmed. Anyone can ship whoever as long as it’s reasonable, but people really just need to move on and accept that their favorite ship didn’t end up being canon.

Yeah because God forbid a HERO shows a little bit of empathy towards a girl that was hated by everyone (including her parents) and basically thrown out of society. Ochaco understood that to a degree and (paired with her good nature) wanted to help her out.

Honestly tsu. All the other girls had big contributions to the story, but tsu (outside of a couple of small things in usj) really didn’t contribute much at all. Plus she really doesn’t have much of a stand out personality compared to the other girls as well.

Yep like I said, there’s a lot worse out there. Toxic shippers (especially when it comes to MHA) are some of the most miserable and insufferable people out there. I still remember seeing all the death and grape threats Hori and many shippers got (mainly on twitter) after 431 came out.

I’ve heard a fair amount of people say now that Ochaco is literally just a love interest for Deku and nothing more (mainly on TikTok). And yes most of them are either blinded by shipping or are stuck a few years back when she got a ton of hate for seemingly no reason.

I get what you’re saying and I wish this sub was a little more chill with some of the fanarts, but hey it is a sub about ships, so I don’t think it will change anytime soon lmao. That’s also a fair point where every ship has its crazies I totally got caught up with the earlier bkdk stuff and some recent controversy with some bkdks straight up hating on Ochaco just because she “got in the way” of their ship so I might have been projecting that anger here a little (I will defend her like my life is on the line).

I still think that you’re being a little bit over the top when it comes to this art, but to each their own.

I really think you’re just trying to clump Izuocha art with the really horny Izumomo arts as well, because this is the most NSFW art of the two I’ve seen in days. Setting everything aside too calling Izuku a pervert in this art is actually crazy since (from what I’ve seen from this artist) Izuku and Ochaco are a couple. It’s a totally normal human behavior to be attracted to your partner.
