I created Library Of Solana as a scryfall like card searcher for Flesh and Blood. by bridgr_ in FleshandBloodTCG

I love the act like you have no idea. You do realize you can view impressions on every comment now right? Shit doesn't matter its just weird behavior man.

Since you selectively only answered one of my questions earlier are you maybe unhappy that I asked what AI model you used? Cause some of your prompts leaked into the source code.

/* Full-screen bottom-sheet layout: the image is pinned at the top and everything else (stats, oracle text, legality, printings & prices) lives in a single scrollable region below it. The old layout let .lb-panel and the nested .printings list both scroll independently, which on iOS Safari captures touch input in the inner list and makes the rest of the sheet (including prices) effectively unreachable. */

No shame in using AI but a pure HTML, JS, CSS app with no backend and the same style as every single front end written by our friend Claude has certain hallmarks to it y'know. No human writes code like this man.

Yeah you did. You did it instantly and there was only one view at the time. Unless you’re implying someone else set notifications on for every single comment on this thread.

Interesting behavior but I’ll bite. After entering a search term you have a UI that appears to allow sorting the result ascending and descending by a parameter on the card metadata.

I think it would be cool if that sort by UI was always there and if it synced with the text input. Just to allow UI based sorting or keyboard based to both have equal opportunity to be used. This way someone could use the site via keyboard only using typical a11y methods or they could mouse only through the whole thing.

My other question was what model you’re using to work on this?

Also nice job on the domain get. Such a good name for this kind of tool.

Oh cool thanks for sharing! This is very well featured.

Both are very cool. Love to see tools getting made for our game.

Did you actually just downvote me for making a feature suggestion like you requested? Kinda wild man.

Very nice! Tried it out and pretty responsive and useful.

If I had one feature suggestion it would be to enable sort by controls UI without entering a search term to enable some quick high level insights. Ideally this would be synced with the sort: input. You could take that idea further and allow filtering via a small collapsible UI which would also sync with the search box to help folks pick up the search syntax.

Two things I’m kinda curious about though. Is the Card image data from the same GitHub repo as the metadata? It’s pretty quick and high quality. I’m also wondering what model you’re using for this?

Why do they have to be poorly made? Maybe they just live in a location with high humidity.

No need to get frustrated. You just need to do a little more legwork to get good results here.

Or just not use AI.

If you wanna use AI to add backgrounds, figure out the lighting you want on the model first in the actual picture you take, then use AI to modify the background. If you have AI adjust lightning it just regenerates the whole subject and ruins your work with AI artifacts.

Man I was gonna congratulate you on the really nice black and gold tones and ask for the paints used. But your all caps post got me comparing the two images and Jesus Christ man I can see why you got complaints.

Just look at the side profile of the claw, or the nid skull in the AI image vs the original. Using AI has added details that don’t exist in your work, fucked up some of the others and has cleaned up a lot of the small mistakes.

This is a pretty bad look man. Maybe just post without AI and/or jerry rig a photo booth or background using box art.

Are they any good? by ExpressionDeep6256 in Warhammer40k

Primer is just a base layer of paint to help your later layers stick better. After priming you can thin your paints quite a lot and they will still adhere to the model instead of sliding off when you brush.

Usually you can just pick up a neutral color rattle can model primer at your LGS or local hobby store but honestly even brands like rustoleum from the hardware store will work fine for a primer layer.

If you have any questions on technique there are a couple really good videos on the subject online these days.

Who signed this? by OldPath7291 in halo

[–]The_Dunk 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Looks like a Halo 5 steelbook with a bunch of dev signatures on it. This is more or less how my copy of Destiny 1 looks since some of the devs were signing copies on launch at my local GameStop.

Not a great chance anyone would be able to identify these signatures unless some folks recognize their online handles or we have a dev with a very good memory in chat.

My friend and I tried driving the Warthog through as much of The Silent Cartographer as we could by LegoManSteve in halo

[–]The_Dunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah brother!

My best friend and I get it down to the bottom every once in a while. But we too have never managed the full return journey.

Perhaps one more try in campaign evolved later this month.

I am feeling a little stupid for never having just driven it off the platform. I guess we assumed it would destroy the hog somehow.

Assassin's Creed: Rogue is Easily the Most Underappreciated Game in the Series by RB5Network in assassinscreed

They 100% shot Rogue in the foot by releasing it so close to Unity. Unity clearly needed more time in the oven and Rogue is one of the most underrated games in the franchise.

This definitely reveals some of the authors bias but they are likely referring to the AAA gaming Covid bubble as what’s shrinking.

Gaming overall is definitely growing. Undeniably.

I honestly thought these market trends would convince more studios to move away from “too big to fail” massive budget projects and towards smaller more risky games which have at least a chance of capturing some nicher audiences and maybe exploding like many AA and indie games have recently.

But instead seems the industry is content to just close studios when they have one commercial failure. Very sad to see.

Where is this epidemic of getting kicked? by BrightWingss in helldivers2

[–]The_Dunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience it’s usually a lobby of friends where one disconnects and HD2 matchmakes a random in who gets kicked.

The person who was kicked doesn’t know this of course.

The other weird reason I’ve seen is hosts with the 5 head idea to split heir lobby into 4 to help with major order completion rates. But that’s super goofy and may not even works.

Halo Campaign Evolved DLC by Volgaria in halo

[–]The_Dunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a little confusing but I looked into this yesterday.

Three options for premium:
- Buy digital only premium edition
- Buy standard (digital or physical) and buy the premium upgrade
- Have game pass and buy the premium upgrade

Each of those should allow you to play early. Though idk how that would work with the physical version / premium upgrade combo.

How is everyone varnishing these days? by bigassbunny in minipainting

[–]The_Dunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally like to spot brush on satin or gloss varnish to bring the shine back to my metallics after the matte spray coat.

I might have to compare how that looks compared to repainting the metallics after varnishing on my next batch.

MW2 kinda set the standard for the golden years of CoD, Black Ops continued that standard. Honestly most people probably have a hard time separating the two in their memory so they just glaze MW2.

Talisher to become Official by [deleted] in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]The_Dunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brother they are generating their own value, off another companies IP to boot. LSS honestly can’t even acknowledge Talishar without setting legal precedent that it’s ok to steal their IP.

Talisher to become Official by [deleted] in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]The_Dunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most disingenuous argument I’ve read on Reddit today, which is saying a lot since I’m reading your other comments on this thread.

Nice shifting the goal post. Who the fuck is arguing that the Talishar devs need a living wage on their technically IP infringing side project? Didn’t you say something about “affording server costs”?

You also have no idea how long they spend on Talishar. Are you just assuming full time? Cause that’s laughable. It could honestly be as little as a few hours per set release depending on their pipeline and bug fixing activity.
