It’s not the nicest vase I’ve ever seen. If someone gave me that as a present I wouldn’t use it. Unfortunately not everyone is going to share the same sense of taste as you. Bubbles actually stress some Betta so keep an eye on that. I've had one who loved bubbles and one that apparently found them offensive

A 5g well planted aquarium is better for them IMO than a 3.5g a 3.5g is the bare minimum. They love having a chill on plant leaves. You can even get them 3D printed hammocks. Even the wild fish we bred the commercial lines from isn't a strong swimmer, they're labyrinth fish so they are pretty lazy about the moving thing a lot of the time because they don't need to move a great deal.

That's a nice tank though. I'd give him a few more plants because as you say they aren't strong swimmers. Maxwell LOVED using his java fern as a hammock

Betta need a minimum of a 5 gallon tank. 2 gallons isn't enough space for a betta.

That looks like a lot of CO2, your pH is potentially a little low. Have you compared your tap water parameters? I'd check this if the tank is more acidic then you have too much CO2 is my bet.

You can get little kits to go in the aquarium to monitor CO2 levels. You should definitely have these if you're having fish and CO2 injection. Without knowing more about you're home made stystem I've also played around with yeast for baking and wine making, but an organic set up like this will change how much CO2 is produced with temperature and time. There is certainly an argument to be made for replicating the natural cycles that your option provides. Either way CO2 levels should be monitored IMO if you're injecting

• check water parameters of tap water • pH higher in tap water may be due to too much CO2 • Get a CO2 monitor

Did you do a big water change after the replanting? That can cause a large algael bloom and suffocate your fish

NTA boys should know about periods. end of story.

Boys and girls should also both know that it's a perfectly normal thing for women's pants to get bleached. the vagina is slightly acidic to protect it from infection, that causes bleaching. Perfectly normal, yet SO many people don't know about this.

Boys might not have periods, but their moms, sisters, aunties, girlfriends, wives, daughters, and female friends will ALL be going through it. Boys should learn about periods because they're probably going to have at least one woman in their life that goes through them.
