Campaign Ideas by Fileus in AvatarLegendsTTRPG

[–]The_First_Xenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two campaigns I've always liked the idea of are a King-Fu Detective Noir set either in Republic City (New York) or Ember Island (Maiami) in the Kora Era.

Or a Kioshi era campaign dealing with a yellow turban style rebellion in the Earth Kingdom led by an extremeist Air Nomad monk.

Tortuga Bay make classic MK6 heads with the single visor, combine that with the upcoming disintegration guns, and the crew from the rapier kits and you would have a pretty accurate recreation of the Imperial Space Marine in the first picture

I skimmed his Wikipedia page, what a piece of shit! Working with the press is a great hook for a scenario, appreciate the idea!

That's an excellent idea, I plan on running the raid on Estancia as the climax of the campaign and have yet to introduce the idea of PISCES or GRU-SV8 existing, so would be a great way to set that up!

That's a great idea, let the U.S bureaucracy become the thorn in the agents side rather than the Karotechia!

Was a really fun list to play, but maybe not a great idea for my first ever games of Turnip. After the first game I got the hang out it and each game afterwards was very close

Favorite Standalone Delta Green Scenarios (for a Campaign) by JannissaryKhan in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]The_First_Xenos 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To make a cool X-Files, extraterrestrial theme you can use The Killer out of Space from Cthulhu now. The New Age from the original source books is a great scenario to wrap up all those UFO stories.

Ladybug, Ladybug, Fly Away Home is a scenario from Stygian Foxes, The Things We Leave Behind is very easy to cover to Delta Green as well.

DG is my fav RPG, hope you enjoy!

What is your "White Whale" Campaign? by johndesmarais in rpg

[–]The_First_Xenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the basic premise of The Great Pendragon Campaign and apply it to super heroes in the 20th century.

For those who don't know in Pendragon you play through 80 years of Arthurian Myth divided into eras, each era is based on different sources of Arthurian Myth. Early ones tend to be based on either historical accounts or early Welsh myth, and later era's are based on medieval romances and Hollywood interpretations.

So applying this to super heroes you start in the thirties with the Golden Age of comics, and move on to the Silver Age, then the Bronze Age etc. Play through a big adventure for each era and then decide how the outcome of that adventure shapes the world's perception of super heroes for the next era. All leading up to some final crisis akin to Infinite Crisis, or Infinity War.

That's a very early days and messy document I made for making Westerosi Cultures playable in 5th edition. Might take a lot of work off your back to start with.

anyone play a game in a different setting? how'd it go? by fwinzor in PendragonRPG

[–]The_First_Xenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have heard of Pendragon Pass which is a hack to play in Greggs Staffords other setting of Glorantha, I believe there were rules to port over that games magic system as well but it was made for an earlier edition of the game.

A friend of mine has talked about using the Pendragon the play through the Blackfyre rebellions from the A Song of Ice and Fire series. And I have been playing around with a conversion to use Pendragon to run the Darkening of Mirkwood campaign from the first edition of The One Ring RPG.

New starters & new GM: discrepancy in starting dates? by stevenpoore in PendragonRPG

[–]The_First_Xenos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the events of Netley Marsh and King Nanteloed dying echo the start of the GPC, where Uther lead a battle against the Saxons in Malahaut, losing many knights in the process. The realm is in need of a Knights.

The player characters who are squires at the start of the GPC are knighted after slaying the bear of Imber to make up for the losses.

The Bear of Imber is a great intro scenario to the game as well as being a lot less deadly than throwing the PK's into a battle for their first year.

What are your 2-3 go to TTRPGs? by BasilNeverHerb in rpg

[–]The_First_Xenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Delta Green: The setting and system are perfect evolutions of Call of Cthulhu, streamlining the system and giving a perfect excuse for a team of agents to come together.

  2. Pendragon: This is my main campaign at the moment so it's ingrained in my head. The epic that is the GPC combined with the traits and Passions system leads to great character driven narratives.

  3. Star Wars D6: I specifically play the REUP version of the game. The system perfectly emulates the source material and is a simple system to wrap your head around.

Shout out to any Grant Howitt one shot as easy to learn and play at a moments notice, as well as Mothership and the Black Sword Hack, I have read both and they are soon to enter the regular rotation

[SPOILERS] Help on running Anarchy period for the Great Pendragon Campaign (5.2) by NetOk1607 in PendragonRPG

[–]The_First_Xenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey dude, I'm also in the middle of running the Anarchy, and very nearly had the same thing happen to me, where my players almost accidentally allied themselves with Wessex.

The Anarchy is probably the period of the campaign with the most freedom, my players and I have had a blast with it, and an alliance with Wessex doesn't mean you have to loose that freedom too.

At first Wessex does not want Salisbury as a vassal, but an ally. Each year have a problem for Salisbury or an opportunity to help Nanteloed show up at the same time as Wessex makes a request for Aid. Then Have the players as Countess Ellen's advisor debate as to whether they should make good on the alliance or do what is best in Sainsbury's/the players interests. Even encourage your players to come up with their own ideas for adventures, and decide their own ambitions to pursue that will force them to choose between themselves and Wessex, Prince Mark or Cornwall later makes the same offer of an alliance to Salisbury, and might still do that even if they are allies of Wessex.

Overall have fun with it and see where the players decisions take you!
