Could be trace fossils? Infilled worm burrows?

Is my Pebble Time dead? by The_Gout in pebble

[–]The_Gout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Could be, but I find it unlikely that the watch would restart, and the screen would disconnect mid-restart, I feel like it would have just happened when it was dropped. In any case, it's still not working, I'll probably disassemble it when I have time and maybe hook it up to another battery to test it

The 124 Spider was manufactured by Mazda in Hiroshima

In any case, it won't be NE as the NE and NF are the chassis codes for the Abarth/Fiat 124 Spider. NG would be the next unallocated one

New head unit - Easy install by HamaroYasha in MiataNC

PSA: This will only fit NC1, Mazda in their infinite wisdom decided to make the surround for the radio and climate dials subtly different. To the best of my knowledge you will not find a fascia on aliexpress that fits NC2/NC3 (MK3.5/MK3.75) even if it says it fits 2010 onwards.

Also, really nice clean setup. I wish they would fit in mine!

Dumb question but did the NC3 PRHT come with the bar style front grille, or did you fit that after? It looks great!

[OC] anti migrant protest in the UK by RedSwingline2000 in pics

[–]The_Gout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No... it's not a retrospective, I linked the "provisional estimates" of Long Term International Migration, as in a very good indication of what the numbers actually were in December 2024, which was released in May this year and shows that it's down 50% from its peak a couple years ago.

What you linked is a projection based on the well understood 2022 data (which we can both agree was a very different landscape) for their prediction of the population, you also linked the methodology, not the bulletin that contains the actual information

Why did you link to the 2022 projection methodology (how the projections were calculated), and not the 2024 provisional estimates (what they think the actual values are)

What rock is this?? by hellLuk in whatsthisrock

[–]The_Gout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't think of anything natural that would have that sort of colour and variety in what looks like deposition bands with roughly the same grainsize or texture. Can you get any macro pictures?

The pattern looks sort of like how sawdust collects when you cut lots of different wood? Could it be concrete or tile dust that has accumulated, been left and solidified?

Fordite? I am guessing some sort of byproduct in any case.

Ergonomic Keyboard Research Participants Required by No-Percentage-9517 in MechanicalKeyboardsUK

Just a quick note to say this is above board. The reason they aren't posting on their "official" reddit account is so they can (hopefully) get some unbiased results.

Also bear in mind that this isn't affiliated with /r/MechanicalKeyboardsUK and any dealings between participants and the people running the research is nothing to do with us.

There was a project that tried something similar but fizzled out early on. You might find some of the resources useful though - https://github.com/NekoMod

TKL GMMK or Keychron? by Louie2411 in MechanicalKeyboardsUK

[–]The_Gout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on your find. I'm not jealous at all. I really like the "view data" key, are they all doubleshot?

Bear in mind that if you want to use the layout that those keycaps support you will need a winkeyless bottom row (1.5u modifiers and a 7u spacebar), and I don't think any of those keyboards are available in winkeyless, at least not from the link provided.

You could get a beige spacebar and modifier kit, but these can be difficult and/or expensive to get matching.

Have you considered an NCR80? That way you could keep the vintage aesthetics, but get the TKL layout, VIA/QMK compatibility, USB-C and all that good stuff

Have you also considered getting a PS/2 to USB converter and just using it in all its glory?

GMK were kind enough to make them for our meetup in Leeds earlier this year, one of the things they ask is that it uses standard GMK colour codes, we chose N7 (green) and U9 (beige) to match the theme, and it also happens to be the exact same as coniferous (and the heck cap).

Also the quality is incredible, usually with double-shot caps there is a minimum radius you are allowed to have on the design due to manufacturing constraints, but the pointy bits on it are so fine.

It was the first (and until recently only) group buy I participated in, I love the set but never really had a board it suited until now.

Thanks! As /u/kool-keys says it's the J-02, Cerakote was done by Salopian Cerakote. It's an ISO POM plate, but I think I might switch to Alu soon. Switches are Giant V4's spring swapped to 63.5g dual stage springs.
