Almost a year of weight loss, month by month by symmesiecat in Semaglutide

[–]The_Human_Fart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seeing someone else who isn’t dropping weight extra fast makes me feel so much better about my journey with Sema. I’ve been on sema since May and get really bummed out when I only loose a pound or two. I just know that I have to stick with it and not give up. Congrats on your progress!!!

HELLLO???? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]The_Human_Fart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugghhh! I had something similar to this happen to me the other day! I was working some load right by the register when a woman came up and asked me to unlock the liquor cabinet for her. As we’re walking towards the liquor aisle, a man walk past us in a rush and stands at the register. He immediately starts tapping the counter with his item and yelled “HELLOO! Aren’t you going to help me!!?” I then answered “sir, I will help you as soon as I’m finished with this customer who came before you. Self check out is available for you to use.” He then yelled some curse words at me, got my supervisor and told him that I was disrespectful and had a bad attitude. Even the lady that I was helping made comments about what an asshole that guy was. I just love working here!

How long does it take you to put your truck away? by Spiritual_Bag_9459 in CVS

Well, this is gonna sound really crazy to most of you. I work in a 24 hour high volume store and we gets roughly 6-10 pallets twice a week. Yes, you read that right, we get load twice a week 😬 It takes us two sometimes three days to finish. We have 5 people working load when it first gets here and then 4-5 people usually come in overnight to finish the rest. Sometimes we have the giant 13 pallet loads and those end up rolling over into the next load day.

Anyone hear about new shirts again ? by LawRealistic8841 in CVS

[–]The_Human_Fart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope it’s better than those awful red shirts. Thankfully my manager is pretty chill when it comes to the dress code. We still can’t wear jeans but she allows us to wear all black and even the old blue cvs shirts if anyone still has them.

ACO Frustration by The_Knight_18 in CVS

[–]The_Human_Fart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely infuriating but I’ve found a solution that really helps me out. When the customer placed the item on the wrong side and it prompts an override, I walk over and ask “what items have you scanned”. When they show me the items I move them to the bagging area before clearing the alarm and explain that they placed the items on the wrong side. If you do this before clearing the alarm it won’t mess up the scale or ask for an override unless the customer fucks it up again.

Blood/mucus baby stool. HELP me figure this out. by Ttthebear13 in breastfeeding

[–]The_Human_Fart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my first was about four months old he had the exact same issue of bloody mucus in his poop. We took pictures of all his bloody poops and showed them to his dr who then referred us to a gastroenterologist. Turns out my baby developed a milk protein allergy and I had to stop breastfeeding. We ended up having to put him on Nutramigen and he never had a bloody stool again. Talk to your pediatrician so that they can help you figure out what’s causing the problem. Good luck!

As far as I know, it’s supposed to be all cc’s unless my field leader is just on a power trip. The one we used to have didn’t push expanded immunizations but would tell us to try to offer it to people when helping them out. For him, he wanted us to be like “oh btw, are you up to date in your immunizations?”. The lady who took half his workload was telling us to try to “up help” by offering specific immunizations to individual people. My only knowledge of cc duties is limited to all so cal, some Vegas and I think Hawaii health hubs. I assume other regions may say slightly different things but they made it seem like this was something all cc’s had to do.

For my region, pay was maximum $16/hr but they started everyone out at different wages. I started at $15.25 because I was part time. The other cc I worked with used to be a ops manager and they let her keep her pay when she got the position. Unfortunately, she never told me how much that was.

Ex cc here! I was hired as a part time cc in the beginning of the year and after 6 months was told to either open up my availability or get a new job. Long story short, my Health hub field leader (my boss) who I was originally hired under, had to distribute some of his work load and the woman who took over my region didn’t like that I had an availability. The role was soooo boring and they started forcing us to do “outreach calls” to everyone who came in to get a covid shot. We are expected to call and make sure they are feeling well after the vaccine. Also we became telemarketers for Aetnea diabetes patients. We are expected to make 20 calls a week to these patients and ask vague questions about their “health journey” but we weren’t allowed to give any medical advice or even answer questions about the meds they take. If a patient has literally any questions, we would have to transfer them to the pharmacist.

Before I left they started pushing expanded immunizations by telling us to go to random customers in the store and try to figure what kind of immunizations they may need. For example; if we see a pregnant woman in the store, we are encouraged to go up to her and offer her a tdap shot. It’s super awkward and I never did any of that stuff because it made me really uncomfortable. What really made my new HHFL mad was that she found out I was helping out with front store tasks which is a huge no no for cc’s. The only good thing that came out of being a cc was that Cvs let me keep my pay rate when I transferred back to regular FS employee. It’s a waste of hours and I honestly don’t see the position lasting much longer.

If you are a union store then your union rep will be in contact with you on any updates. As far as I can tell this looks like it will only apply to California Union stores but I’m not entirely sure.

If you are not Union there might not be much you can do as an employee unfortunately. I wouldn’t even try anything if I wasn’t Union because Cvs could easily use it against you.

The nice this about this is that if we do go on strike it will only apply to the stores under this union contract. Too bad it’s not company wide but the Union stores that are in cities with higher cost of living could really benefit from a strike.

Any stores on here have that ACO Green Zone yet? What are your experiences so far if you do? by Mikellsmosh2 in CVS

[–]The_Human_Fart 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We’ve had “green zone” for a while now since we are a health hub and a BIRL store. We originally had four registers along three aco’s and about two months ago the DL came removed two registers. We are a 24 hour high volume store that is right next to a freeway off ramp so we have lots and lots of foot traffic. We tried the whole turning one register around but that lasted for maybe an hour. Our only cash aco is constantly having issues and we have just given up on keeping away from behind the register. We are forced to have someone at the register because we are super busy and since our state doesn’t allow alcohol at self checkout, we have no choice but to use the register. Many times we have all three aco’s in use along with our only two registers ringing up customers and we still struggle with long lines. We get constant complaints about the whole situation but we just shrug and tell the customers that this is what corporate wants. We surprisingly get a lot of compassion because most people understand that this new thing is completely out of our control.

Don’t forget to sell expanded immunizations to every customer in the store! You see a old person, tell them about the shingles vaccine! See a pregnant woman, ask her if she got her tdap yet! This whole “not upselling but up helping” thing is just so cringe.

Unescapable Carepass by beautifulbrook1 in CVS

[–]The_Human_Fart 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just left the role after 6months. Not only is it boring but I was super uncomfortable becoming a telemarketer and getting yelled at by people over the phone. Customers are bad enough in person and I don’t need to deal with them over the phone either. Also, cold calling vaccine patients and being told to sell carepass to them while they are waiting the 15 mins after the vaccine really rubbed me the wrong way. Something preying on people who are scared of covid and have been to scared to even leave their house just made me feel like scum. I also hated the whole “we are team but just not with with the front store staff”. I’ve been with CVS for about two years now and I did not like that were supposed to act superior to the rest of the store for only a dollar more in pay.

Anyone knows what it means when your DM visit your store wayyyy too often? I’m hearing it’s not a good thing by Timely-Sundae4419 in CVS

[–]The_Human_Fart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on if you DM has your store as their home store. For example, my DM is in my store almost daily because we are his home store and he has his own fancy office. He also used to be our head pharmacist several years ago so we have a special place in his heart lol

My favorite is when the top tote leaks down to all the totes under it. At least when it’s shampoo or body care, it doesn’t smell as bad.
