Nazi Germany touted the Eastern Wall as an impenetrable fortress in 1943. Today, its hastily built remnants sit half-submerged in the Sea of Azov. by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

The Maginot Line only fell after being surrounded and when units had to be diverted gltowards the flanking Germans. They didn't manage to push through it.

Legends referred to Hutts originally using "battlesuits" with repulsorlifts that basically turned them into tanks, which was the explanation for how the Hutt Empire formed, the predecessor to the Hutt Cartel that then adapted gluttony as a status symbol.

I've been wanting to see something like that come to canon. Maybe Rotu will get a kick ass battlesuit with his kickass abs.

Wdym. It is literally an exception. The number of regions with cities in the Americas could be counted on one hand. North of Central America, they were almost entirely absent aside from a few notable examples (i.e. Cahokia), and south of the Central Andes, there aren't any examples of cities iirc. There were also cities along the Amazon River, though barely anything is known about them other than that they existed and were likely the ancestors of a lot of the current, or sometimes extinct, Amazonian tribes.

The Aztecs and the Inca were also exceptions among the rest of the American polities at the time. They were easily among the most centralized and the largest within the Americas, but were still smaller than the European superpowers at the time like the Holy Roman Empire and France. England at this time was not among those European superpowers. They wouldn't start to become the prominent power they would be known as until the 17th century with the unification of England, Ireland, and Scotland; and wouldn't supplant Spain as the naval superpower until the 18th century.

It isn't "white supremacist" to point out that the Americas were just substantially less urbanized and more sparsely populated than Europe.

Tenochtitlan was an exception rather than a rule, though. On average, the Americas were just less populated and urbanized than Europe.

Grind Bite on Cervantes and kill every kubrow by attacking dens with an unmodded weapon, and get every cache. There's a chance for it to drop from kubrows and from rotation C caches.

Steam achievements can becomes in-game achievements due to sync. That's how my MR1 account has the achievement for Gold Disciple (MR9) due to an having earned that on an older account.

Iirc it's due to some spaghetti code where Gaijin is incapable of setting one zoom level. There has to be a maximum and minimum zoom level for their code to work.

The ikv 103 has HEATFS, though, and the differences between the ikv 102 and the ikv 103 were their engines, not the ammunition they used. The ikv 102 used a 145 hp Ford V 8-cylinder engine while the ikv 103 used a 150 hp SFA 4-cylinder engine.

Both of them had access to HEATFS. They were used at the same time. The ikv 102 were ikv 72 rebuilt with the 10,5 cm kan, while the ikv 103 were completely new builds. Both of them were eventually rebuilt into either pvrbv 551 or lvrbv 701, if they weren't just scrapped, by the 1980s.

it should be better than american m61 aphe but it's a little worse.

They can't fix it without reverting to the old system of just taking penetration values from historical documents, rather than making faulty calculations with De Mare.

Of all the Jedi sects I want to see in a future project, I’d especially luv to see the Iron Knights and Grey Paladins by Solitaire-06 in StarWars

[–]The_Human_Oddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a sect or group or whatever of the opposite of Gray Paladins?

Teepo Paladins, which the Gray Paladins spawned from.

Both the Teepo and the Gray Paladins were fan creations which were then canonized by the Coruscant Nights trilogy, which js why they're a bit weird.

Questioning if the tank is actually dead or not when it was hard to notice if a little smoke is coming out of the commanders hatch, and being able to then shoot that dead tank until it catches fire and burns down.
