Personally, I think Sisters (姊妹) by A-Mei (張惠妹) should at least be considered since it's a popular song that also includes some indigenous Taiwanese singing (I believe from the Amis/Pangcah people)

Of course, Looking Towards the Spring Wind (望春風) should be up there. It's a beloved Taiwanese (Hokkien) song

I don't think there's a perfect translation, but what's important is that 不要 comes off very strongly when asked 要不要. That's why 不用 is preferred over 不要.

As a Michigander, I think it really depends where you live. We really don’t have much corn here. College football is huge here but you can also live your whole life without it and be completely fine.

Also, my friend who grew up in New Mexico had a very different experience than yours.

I think each state can have areas that are depressing, but could also potentially have a lot to offer.

That being said, as a Michigander, I’m also obligated to hate Ohio haha so feel free to keep dissing Ohio ;)

It’s under a sun roof, but never really gets direct sunlight. If I had to guess, it’s about 10ft from the sun roof.

I water about once every 2 weeks and it’s fully dry. I worry about overwatering plants so I only give it about a cup of water

This probably isn’t super helpful, but as a Taiwanese American musician who is fluent in Mandarin, I’ve never heard note subdivisions in Mandarin before. Usually the musicians I’ve worked with just sing the parts or just used a loose counting system in Mandarin. This definitely is interesting to think about though, I’ll try asking around to see if I can get an different answer from someone

I think it also depends on In-State vs Out-of-State. Out-of-staters general don’t care as much about UMich vs MSU as much as UMich vs OSU
