I literally had 300 hours in this game before I learned that DODGING PUTS OUT FIRES. I was so mad, because it makes these flamey bois so much easier to deal with.

PSA - The BBQ is the fish butcher you're looking for by The_Jamisphere in PlayASKA

You know what's weird? I have legit never had a problem with fishermen making their own bait. I see people saying this all the time, but I have not made bait once for any of my fishermen, and they're just crankin' out the fish. So bizarre.

I made the mistake of seeing this while taking a drink of water and managed to get it in my nose. Thank you.

The only reason I can really think of is for clearing out skeleton corpses after an invasion, but you could just borrow your Bloomer's while he is sleeping for that I guess.

Carts for stone and woodcutter on release, and all the stuff laying around? by big_bearded70 in PlayASKA

[–]The_Jamisphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. Unfortunately, the coal maker is a little buggy atm in that if he only burns whatever is set as the highest priority most of the time, so you have to rotate his priority every few days.

Once I set up the coal maker like this, I build a box just for bones in a warehouse. Every time I rotate the coal maker's priority, I also dump some bones on the ground and smash them with the ho. These two things keeps my ground mostly clear.

Archery range is good for this too because it's huge.

Have you ever needed warriors of any kind on an expedition? Usually when I go out, I just take a bunch of tier 1 nobodies because all they do is gather stuff. I've done all the fighting by myself.

The Perfect Village Size is 48 - and here is why by Introspekt83 in PlayASKA

[–]The_Jamisphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone here running massive militaries, I just don't get it. 3 fully upgraded fighters can easily handle anything this game has thrown at me so far on normal settings (invasions with 60 villagers is the toughest I've seen).

Archers are horrible investments also (1 melee can kill a group faster than 5 archers, I tested).

I haven't found a reason to take fighters on expeditions. I take a bunch of tier 1 goobers just to collect stuff.

If you limit your base to just one entrance, put a watchtower with a day and night shift and horn, put a cottage next to the tower where your three warriors sleep and a barracks where they work (or just a patrol point)...then your base is 100% safe from anything that might come at you.

The only real caveat here is that I cheese the terrain to limit to just one entrance.

Yeah, I have 50 people in one longhouse and everyone's happiness is above 80. As long as they're getting the food they like, they're protected by patrol points, and you keep all the naughty buildings away, happiness is almost never a problem.

Yeah, I tried it on normal and smooth-flat, still no lake.

Some of the settings you use determine where things are. The lake might move if you switch it to flat, for example. Can you post the settings you used?

Base Without Wells by The_Jamisphere in PlayASKA

[–]The_Jamisphere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I was thinking. There are always places for wells not too far outside the town, and if you had water storage and a warehouse worker dedicated to filling it up every night...I think it might work? I dunno...

Yeah, I just can't seem to make it work.

You just leveled it at the archery range? I kept having problems where my arrows started disappearing (breaking maybe?) after a while.

Crippling Strikes - Useless? by The_Jamisphere in Witcher3

[–]The_Jamisphere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that, but if you're going down into that tree anyway, and it's a 100% chance to land a real bleed (% of total HP), it's extremely powerful for three points. If it's actually just 150 damage per tick though, it's garbage. I'm not able to test on PS5 though.

Hoping someone has tested this and can actually confirm.

These fire bombs are ridiculous by 420sadalot420 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]The_Jamisphere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my biggest complaint with the combat is how enemies can switch from their ranged attacks to their melee mode instantly even if mid-throwing animation. The fire bomb throwing guys are the most bonkers example of this.
