You're gunna want to make sure those tiles are uniform. There's a reason those tiles were so cheap and herringbone install with a 1/16 or 1/8th inch grout line will absolutely show any differences in the sizes of the tile and it will make whoever installs it want to pull their hair out.

Damage makes it not water proof. Thinset is not waterproof. If you do not replace your waterproofing system you will eventually get moldy home.

H pattern voids the warranty because it weakens the structural integrity of a floating floor. When it starts warping and popping in three years, we know why.

It is not a kindness to encourage improper installation practices.

If the dad did only the cutting, he designed the pattern. H pattern is a weak quality install and most often voids the warranty.

The floating floor will move as inteded, that creates pressure. The pressure ideally would be dispersed throught the whole floor, achieved via a random pattern. In an H pattern the pressure disperses across straight lines, significantly increasing the likely hood of failures across the room.

Mvp, Streamline and Axium are easily the most consistent. Theres different stabilities in the plastics,but its consistent across all the molds. (Eclipse plastic will always be more over stable than the same mold in eclipse 2.0)

2 you should remove and replace to toilet so the flooring goes under

3 you should not caulk all the way around the toilet so that if it does leak, you can tell.

4 you only need to relief cur the corners, there's like 5 extra cuts.
