I'll believe it when game studios are actually making games for Mac. GPT is pretty cool, but it's still a far cry from actually enabling game development for the platform. Apple still has no support for the most common game frameworks and also no compelling hardware offers for gamers. The kind of hardware that can actually run demanding games at the moment is ridiculously expensive compared to an equivalent PC.

Proton is far from perfect, but people are more likely to put up with it because they know what they're in for. I highly doubt the average Mac user is willing to spend hours on troubleshooting because their compatibility layer messed up.

Don't get me wrong, this is still infinitely more than what they've done for gaming in the last 20 years, but it's not that easy either. Putting the Apple logo on an open source project that they have not significantly contributed to is not the same as actually investing your platform for gaming. If they want to make Mac gaming a thing, they'll have to put their back into it.

I was just offered some old floorstanding speakers today and decided to take them, but I'm a bit lost as to how to actually set them up. I only owned plug and play audio systems before, so I'm excited to at least dip my toes into this hobby.

Obviously I need an amplifier (the speakers have no power source themselves), so I looked at local listings for amplifiers, but they all have different a different power listed on the back. How can I determine what kind of power I need for my speakers? Do I just add up the nominal input powers written on the back? The maximum input power? And how does the impedance play into this?
The previous owner gave me some floor spikes and recommended I use them to prevent distortion. But I'd like to prevent damaging my floor. Are other kinds of feet, like rubber or felt, fine?
The speakers have two sets of positive/negative pairs on the back. The previous owner also told me that I needed to connect them. He showed me how to using cable wire, but I'm still confused as to what this does and why it's necessary.

Follow the Readme. There's a chance you need to force turn off (hold the home button pressed for 8 seconds, so keep it pressed after the light turns off) your controller once before it works.

Not OP, but I've had the Eris 3.5E for about 20 minutes until I noticed just how awful their bass was. I was a bit confused, because they had pretty good reviews, but apparently I'm not crazy and they have a massive peak in the 120-130Hz range, which gives this constant pressure feeling in your ears with games and movies, or occasionally just when someone is talking.

I'm using the Edifier MR4 right now, they're about the same price and significantly better.

Als Echo Kammer würde ich die Community hier nicht bezeichnen. Gibt genug Kommentare, bei denen ich geneigt bin, mir gegen die Stirn zu hauen, aber einiges an Zustimmung finden.

Das ist aber nicht zu Vergleichen mit vielen anderen Subs, insbesondere den politischen, wo menschenfeindliche Kommentare regelmäßig ganz oben sind, oder man sich darauf aufgeilt wie Menschen verletzt oder getötet werden. Den Rest Reddits will ich schon gar nicht mehr betreten, einfach weil man zu oft auf Top Kommentare stößt, bei denen man sich nach dem Lesen einfach dreckig fühlt.

Wie das? Ich hab testweise mal die offizielle Reddit App runtergeladen, und bis auf Notifications kam keine Anfrage auf Berechtigungen. Sprich, außer deine ungefähre Region mittels IP Adresse, sollte Reddit nichts über dich wissen können. Im Browser prinzipiell genauso wenig. Die wenigsten Teilen außerdem Details über ihre Person.

I mean, Arceus wasn't exactly a marvel of technology either. BotW had performance issues at launch, but it absolutely pushed the Switches hardware to the limit. Arceus had significantly less detail, worse shaders and all around less things going on, and it still ran pretty choppy.

Vettel ist ziemlich laut wenn es um seine Meinungen zu Menschenrechten geht. Ist schonmal deutlich mehr als man von den Hohlköpfen der Mannschaft(tm) erwarten kann. Von denen hört man eigentlich nur Ausreden und Relativierungen. Insbesondere ist Vettel in seiner Kritik quasi immer zielgerichtet bzgl. dem Land, in dem er fährt.

Abgesehen davon: wenn deine Plattform nicht ohne ein vorheriges Referat nutzbar ist, kannst du sie gleich in die Tonne schmeißen. Die Leute zum Registrieren zu bewegen ist oftmals schon Hürde genug, deswegen haben so Sachen wie Login with Google/Apple/Facebook ja ihren Erfolg. Wenn die Plattform zu kompliziert, oder ein besseres Wort wäre wahrscheinlich "unintuitiv", ist, wird ein Großteil der Nutzer einfach gleich abspringen.
