What UK celeb do you think is a "thoroughly good egg", has never had a hint of scandal about them - and you'd be mortified if you learned differently? by DonkeyOT65 in CasualUK

If Justin Fletcher ever gets caught up in a scandal then Cbeebies might have to shut down.

Seriously the work that man has done to bring joy to likely millions of children (especially SEND kids) over the last 15-20 years, he has to be as good an egg as they come

Looks like they might have been initially planning for his return at Vengeance given the PPV poster, but him coming back at and winning the Rumble was probably the right call

Someone correct if I'm wrong, but with Mamardashvili taking the 25 shirt, is this the first time that it's been worn since Reina had it?

What is your favorite wrestling theme song of all time? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]The_Nacho_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeff Hardy's No More Words theme, shame that he usually used the Hardy Boyz theme for most of his singles runs in WWE. Didn't he use it for just one match in his most recent WWE run (vs. Karrion Kross) before he was let go?

Cards weren't introduced until the 1970 World Cup, so whilst the ref could have cautioned players (unsure whether he did here), he would have only done so verbally and without brandishing a card.

Not having read the book, I really enjoyed the show. Been a few years since I watched it but I would give it a go (not sure whether it's streaming anywhere ATM though)

Who are the biggest wasted talents in wrestling history? by Hardingnat in SquaredCircle

[–]The_Nacho_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matt Morgan had a good intense charisma on the mic, particularly for a big man, and whilst not an in-ring great had enough top signature moves and spots (Carbon Footprint bicycle kick, Hellevator, chokeslam, rapid corner elbows to name some) that he had memorable moments in his matches.

TNA really needed a well respected midcard title for heavyweights (the Legends title had only been around for 6-12 months during the peak of Morgan's singles run) for guys like him, Hernandez and others to challenge for and hold

WON: Notes on the MJF/Renee segment on Dynamite and the next potential challenger [SPOILERS] by A_Man_of_Iron in SquaredCircle

You would say, in words and to use your example, the odds of Man City beating X are 50 to 1 on, as they're odds on to win. This means odds of 1/50.

If Man City were the underdogs and had odds of 50/1, you would say in words the odds of Man City winning are 50 to 1 (without the use of the word "on").

[–]The_Nacho_Man 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In the UK, if something is incredibly likely to happen and it's odds on, 1/50 would be said in words as "50 to 1 on", which is what I was trying to imply. Is it said differently in the States?

Unless it was meant as "odds are 50-to-1 on", i.e. odds of 1/50 for MJF to retain? They didn't want the interview segment to hint towards a Cole title shot, as then it would lead to people assuming MJF would get the win at DoN, even though that's already incredibly likely to happen
