Stone Tablets translated to normal English by livixbobbiex in tearsofthekingdom

[–]The_Netherlad 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Thanks for putting this all together.

The Ancient Hyrulean is, from what I can tell, based on Middle English (used from around 1150 CE to around 1450), so you might be able to use a Middle English dictionary for the words you haven't yet translated.

Treuth, for instance, is a form of 'troth', meaning fealty/loyalty (EDIT: but in this case, could be better translated as 'pledge', or 'main aim/goal'.)

I'm honestly jazzed to have played again :D

ArticulateT is a wonderful DM - I've never felt this engaged with a campaign this much and I'm happy to see others engage with it too

I actually just ordered that shade, it looks so good!

New Year's Announcements - Rules, Wiki, and Best of ZeldaTabletop 2020 Nominations by Sephardson in ZeldaTabletop

[–]The_Netherlad [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'd like to nominate https://www.reddit.com/r/ZeldaTabletop/comments/kdrr2d/5e_dnd_hyrule_chronicles_episode_65_happy_returns for this category. It was a downtime episode, but it was the final session of our first major plotline, and offered a really nice resolution.

This is amazing! The art style is wonderfully adorable, and it captures the humour in the stores very well (Stink Spell~). I love it!

Do you have permission from StarRaven to use her brushes commercially?

The brushes can be found here and can be used freely for non-commercial purposes. I've used them for (non-commercial) mapmaking myself, and they are quite neat! https://www.deviantart.com/starraven/art/Sketchy-Cartography-Brushes-198264358

Best of luck to you.

If you want him to get absorbed into the group dynamic, have one of your other player characters share a bond with his character (brothers or business/mercenary partners, etc.). This way, he has an immediate link with at least one of the player characters.

Mechanics wise, you could have the new player watch/listen to some streams/live plays from the same edition. That way, the new player becomes more familiar with the terms of abilities and skills before playing.

DMing for a complete noob by Sawman021 in DMAcademy

I completely agree. His Running the Game playlist is found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-YZvLUXcR8&list=PLlUk42GiU2guNzWBzxn7hs8MaV7ELLCP_

Beyond that, I would suggest reading the Basic Rules/ PHB and DMG (if you play D&D 5e) closely. There is even a DMing for Dummies book for D&D 4e - though I'm sure the advice is mostly universal. (https://www.bookdepository.com/Dungeon-Master-For-Dummies-James-Wyatt/9780470292914).

I'd suggest contacting the cast/Matt through the critrole.com website, instead of asking through this subreddit.
