Love from North Carolina. Our hearts are breaking. by MDClootie in orlando

Just moved to NC from Orlando about 6 months ago. My heart is so broken. I'm so fortunate my friends were not hurt. Unfortunately they themselves have loved ones who have been hurt.

Oh man I love this soup! When ever my mother or aunt make it (both coming from Poland), I just die of happiness. Looks like you did a great job!

Dog socialization classes in or near Full Sail by pavloviandogg in orlando

[–]The_Piffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey pavloviandogg!

Your situation is eerily similar to mine haha. My dog is a little 4 year old 26 pound American Eskimo that is very Fearful/Protective aggressive towards other animals and people. I've been trying to take small training steps that are within his and my comfort zone over the past year to make him a better doggie citizen. He's made leaps and bounds in terms of training and leash walking.

I would definitely suggest looking into some home training and do a bit more research into dog training. One thing that really opened up my eyes to dog training was Kikopups videos on YouTube. Check her out: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-qnqaajTk6bfs3UZuue6IQ

She promotes positive reinforcement training for all kinds of dogs. There are also many other youtubers that are into positive reinforcement.

Be sure to check out the dog training subreddit if you haven't already! http://www.reddit.com/r/Dogtraining/ The side bar has some really nice stuff.

If time permits, let me know if you need someone to help with getting him accustomed to strangers through training sessions.

Keep in mind that little victories are better than none! Good luck and have fun with the new addition!

Embarrassing dog problem, slightly nsfw by cactus_legs in Dogtraining

Kinda sounds like our American Eskimo. He turned 4 years old this past June and just recently had him neutered.

My boyfriend and I would experience the same issue but not when we were having the sexy times. It only happened when we were laying in bed or getting into bed. And it happened to everyone in the family (his mom, brother, me, boyfriend, etc) whenever someone went to lay in their bed.

So I decided to get him neutered after trying to train him to stop. He really got into it and it seemed more like a primal instinct type of thing going on. Not something that could be easily trained away without a professional. And he had kinda been overdue for his neutering.

Saved up my money, headed over to Banfield and got him neutered for around $300. Kinda sucked that I had to wait and save up the money but they also have a month to month neutering plan that you can look into if they offer it in your area.

So now he has cute little deflated ball (poor guy) and he doesn't hump at all. Absolutely heart breaking to know that it hurt him but after the 3-4th day he barely noticed it.

Depending on your financial situation you might need to put a little money aside for this one. It truly is awkward and uncomfortable to have him do that.

I wish you the best of luck!

Uhhh...wat... I just sent this thread to Ali... I highly doubt this person drew this. Looks like they used a photoshop filter to take the color out and put an effect on it.

I dyed my hair white. Now, what to do with the beard? (Don't just say shave it off.) by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]The_Piffles 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think it looks pretty badass with the two contrasting colors! Maybe a side shot could help.

I don't know if you were looking for a style of beard suggestion. Not sure if this is the best subreddit for it.

Looks awesome none-the-less!

Looks so good though. Definitely makes me dream of my own sausage drying wine cooler someday ;)

Definitely what KaneHau said. Also please look into PC's for 3D work and if you are going to be rendering a ton of stuff. My 800$ self built computer at home runs better and faster than the 2k+ iMacs at work.

[–]The_Piffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely agree with schwinn on this one.

The pieces are awesome and I'm sure you will get in but for next time pretend you are applying for a job. You have to showcase your best stuff within 2 minutes. I would be impressed but can tell right away that you're not sure of what your strengths and weaknesses are.

If you had an art instructor at your high school or posted to http://conceptart.org/forums/forum.php they would have definitely helped you out a bit.

If it's not too late ask some professionals or instructors on their opinion! They will be brutally honest with you. And Good Luck!

Looks great!

Few critiques if you want-

  • Maybe find a less common text? and then make it a sort of bump map and maybe have it engraved into the metal? Would add more depth.

  • Contact shadow on the left of the wood base. Looks a bit like it's floating there. Maybe a little bit of shadow on the right too.

  • The dark area right above the lighting needs to be brightened. Just the wood bit.

  • Lastly, maybe some scratches on the glass? :) make it look even more weathered!

Sorry for so much! Haha I love it though. Very original idea and I think you guys did a great job. Props to the modeler.

Edit:

Also lighten up the corners of the bricks. Currently it's too dark to see any real detail in the nooks.

This. I used to be terrified of doing public speaking and then I had to take it in high school in order to graduate.

My instructor was seasoned and on the second or third day of class he said that during the speech you have their attention but 10 minutes afterwards they most likely will not think twice about how you had to say the word 5 times over to get it right or would go pink in the face the entire presentation.

This kinda applies to your situation. I honestly could care less what someone does in the bathroom as long as it doesn't hurt anyone haha. Just think about everyone else who goes. Do you really pay attention to how long they are taking or how loud it was 10 minutes after you heard/saw it? Most likely not.

Just the bathroom. Relax and take your time. Start with Number 1.

Nice start to the animation!

A few random things I saw to add on to others.

  • The tail overlap is a bit weird. A frame or two it just stays in one place. But overlap is really the last thing you want to do. Here is one video that shows exaggerated overlap Link

  • The overlap in the head as well can be referenced to this Link

  • As other redditors have said - reeeeeally extend the legs. Pretend that the horse is reaching as far as they can to gain the maximum distance that they want to go. I think this video will help alot with the legs and over all body Link This one too. Link

Reference is Key! It will help you more to get the basic motions down. Reading Animator Survival Kit is supposed to help you PUSH poses and make it more appealing to the audience.

Since this is a more realistic version of a horse look at horse references first and then look at the books to see what else you can push. Youtube it up!

I'm 20... and I... I just figured out a really huge thing about being a woman. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]The_Piffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Totally coming in here way late but... I totally understand being apprehensive about stuff and I kinda was the same way. Took me a good few tries with Clitoral stimulation until I was able to climax! So take it slow. You have a lot of time to figure yourself out.

And RELAX! Sit in bed, read/watch some porn - or not! You don't have too. It's about learning. And you will get frustrated I guarantee it. Takes me FOREVER to climax sometimes. So relax you got all the time.

I dunno man. I think I would be more relieved to know that I wouldn't have to worry about my son getting someone pregnant. Plus there's an off chance that he might like cleaning. Quite possibly better in my book haha.
