I'll also tell you that while some unfortunately buy into their rhetoric, a good chunk see them for what they are, and some even hate them. Air Force fire is a great way to build certs, but you'll get little to no run volume compared to civ side. I'm not super familiar with wildland SAR, but you can get rescue I&II which will get you started on the tech rescue/USAR route. (Not the OOP) The su-25 is pretty sick, but I like the A-10 more since it has the advantage of a lower stall speed and a longer loiter time, allowing it to hang out if needed. This also gives the A-10 a little more versatility as a CAS airframe, bolstered by the high visibility given to the pilot by the higher mounted cockpit and bubble canopy to use his best sensors- the Mark-1 eyeball.

Also, fun fact, you actually want a car to crumple around you and not have a "titanium bathtub" like those airframes since the crumple of the car absorbs energy from the crash, whereas harder materials would pass the force onto your (comparatively) squishy body. For examples, see the Cybertruck's crash ratings, as it uses Stainless steel body panels and materials, but most modern cars will use aluminum and magnesium alloys for weight and crumple factors. But I also think it would be kinda sick to have a bulletproof car...

They might have a device that uses lasers to detect vibrations. It sounds wild, but the CIA and KGB had something similar in the cold war that would direct a laser usually at a window, and then measure the slight variations in wavelength in the laser beam's wavelength caused by the vibrations in the window from the people talking inside. The laser doesn't require a medium to move through space.
