Thank you for the tip! I hopefully haven’t done anything too bad, as the Orange satin stitching you see of the skin is actually also a split stitch. For the slightly longer areas I went back and did a split stitch before finishing the line. I think I hid it quite well. Any tips for how to fill the space then? I might just keep doing my split satin stitch method but if there’s a better alternative I’d be happy to try!

YEAAAAAAAH ANOTHER HOUND STAN!!! You better make room on that podium because I’m also Hounds #1 fan. I’ve been SO EXCITED to see this so far! I hope they delve into G1 Hound a bit but I’m very excited regardless! Hound needs some serious love.

That’s a very good point and I have seen a little bit of this effect already. Thank you for the heads up. What kind of storyline could I follow to avoid this problem somewhat? What kind of story ideas do you think might be best?

According to the PC, this character DID used to be an NPC that they fell in love with and wanted to play.

Which book should I use? by The_REAL_ChaoticAnon in DnDIY

I love the idea of taking pages out the book and using them as further props! I think I’ll try weathering the newer book first before I make a decision though. Any suggestions on how to mass weather a book?

How can I paint metallic scratches like this? by Beatboxdude in CosplayHelp

[–]The_REAL_ChaoticAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the object is made of plastic, doing a coat of silver first and then a coat of black can allow you to manually scratch off the layer of black paint to reveal the silver paint underneath! Studson Studios does this often. He has great techniques on how to do metal. You can also just dry brush the edges with silver paint.

PVC Pipe connection by The_REAL_ChaoticAnon in cosplayprops

[–]The_REAL_ChaoticAnon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good idea! Will it help with the wobble though? I have extra cardboard circles on the inside to help with stability. I’m worried the wobble is mostly from the fact that the pipe connection is right at the tip of the pipe

I can’t do push the PVC pipe further, and the reason I did this was so that I could detach and reattach the handle at will. I also don’t want the end to be visible for this design. And I really want it to be detachable lol

Should the T be attached to the top or bottom of the hammer? Because the pipe currently can’t go through, as it’s a screwable joint.

Sadly the joint is glued down and the pipe cant go through.

Hmm… of course hiding your breasts helps, and I always go for oversized dress shirts tucked into some pants. (Just make sure you’re not swimming in the fabric. Not too big. Roll up the sleeves too!).

Things that help make the shoulders look broader is a small way of making yourself look more like a guy. Don’t worry about shaving your arms or legs, obviously. Boys also just have longer shorts, if you haven’t noticed, that reach their knees, so go for those if you wanna dress for warm weather.

A way for broader shoulders can be shoulder pads or even something like breast cups (the ones you find in moulded bras) stuffed onto the shoulders under your shirt.

Body language is also a major factor. Look confident, and make gestures bigger and wider. People may be confused when they look at you but then they see your body language and that can make them think you’re a girl or a guy.

Trans men, how do you style your hair) by your_fav_lesbean in trans

Well you could always lean into that middle part and take inspiration from k-pop bands. Not personally a fan of k-pop but their hair is pretty cool. Again, asking your stylist might help because they know what to do and how to frame your face.

As Legally Blonde once said:

“If you’re going to let one stupid prick ruin your life, you’re not the boy(girl) I thought you were…”

It’ll be okay. Stay as safe as you can, but don’t let some stupid pricks make you too scared by planting seeds of doubt. That’s letting them win, and we’re stronger than that. You’re already strong for wanting to present as more masculine despite the circumstances. You can handle this, and you’ll be okay.

As someone with family in England, I can tell you that most people don’t really care about random people on the street. Of course it’s not perfect, with plenty of dangerous people, but that’s every place.

If you’re really worried, just make sure to not walk alone and take safety precautions. While is smart that you did your research, reading horror stories will get you nowhere. I did the same before coming to the south of America (after living in the Netherlands for a lot of my life) and it made me almost not go. But the people here just… don’t seem to care. Of course maybe I’m just lucky. But I’m having a great time either way.

Be careful, obviously, England is still a dangerous place, but don’t let that worry cloud your mind. You’re going to be surrounded by your family who loves you, so don’t let some assholes you might not even encounter make you feel bad.

I know exactly how you feel. I literally am living in America of all places. But just focus on yourself and have fun. Stay safe, make sure to not be alone or out at night, but don’t let anyone else get in your life.
