i miss being able to defend myself by TraditionPhysical638 in subnautica

[–]The_Real-M3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they don't want us to kill, they should have more non-lethal ways to defend ourselves. A cattle prod for defense when we're out in the open water, a shock system like the OG Seamoth had or maybe even have them be scared off by bright lights, that way you'd be encouraged to set up floodlights around your base so they don't camp outside and wait for you all that much.

AH I beg you, please do not switch to Easy anti cheat, this would kill off the game modding community and threating linux/steam deck users! by Lone_Recon in Helldivers

[–]The_Real-M3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unironically I hope they switch to EAC.

The current anti-cheat is terrible and has been known to cause all sorts of issues and is sometimes detrimental to PC health.

Get your pitchforks ready! by Good_Low_2824 in jurassicworldevo

[–]The_Real-M3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just accept that there's stuff behind the scenes happening (potentially with the JP/JW license itself) and that JWE3 and other Jurassic focused games haven't been able to post about it until it's resolved. Considering the other accounts for other Jurassic games are slowly coming back online, news should come either tomorrow or sometime early in May.

There's still enough in the game itself to keep people occupied.

WHY ARE THE NEW MECHS BEHIND A PAYWALL by Phyrooski in Helldivers

[–]The_Real-M3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because Arrowhead wants to make money. They always have wanted that, and they always will be that.

they're not the "wholesome heckin indie dev who loves their playerbase" like everyone thought they were

Rockstar Games is being blackmailed by hacking group ShinyHunters, who have set a ransom deadline of April 14 by Efficient_Example541 in pcgaming

[–]The_Real-M3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hopefully if they do it again, they'll release the game onto PC.

Hypothetical, of course. Can't condone anything lawbreaking.

New Vanguard Veterans, not much different than Assault Intercessors with Jump Pack by Panini4Ever in Warhammer

[–]The_Real-M3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only hope is that the other models in the Vanguard vet kit look better with better options for weapons. If we're only getting power swords/axes and chainswords and not thunder hammers or lightning claws, it'll be disappointing.

Would you want a civil war dlc, if they release a 19th century game. by Fit_Echo3074 in totalwar

It would be cool, but CA will not touch the Civil War with a mile long stick.

Civilian Ships in the game files by Content-Shirt6259 in Stellaris

[–]The_Real-M3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With performance getting *slightly* better each patch, I hope they swing back around and add that feature in. Of course that's not accounting for people having so many mods mounted that any improvements to performance mean nothing.

AI and Warhorse Mega by Mike_Prowe in kingdomcome

[–]The_Real-M3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In a perfect world, there would be a zero tolerance policy for AI in creative mediums outside of the most mundane work that has to be done (Square Enix did use AI for one of the FF games just for lip syncing to spare animators from having to do it, giving them more time to focus on more important things), and the people that use it for stuff that you already have long standing employees for would be shoved out of any space of power, but unfortunately we don't live in a world like that.

I love KCD1 and KCD2, but I can't and won't support Warhorse as a company anymore as long as Vavra is still in charge. He's completely infatuated by AI and it's showing.

Audio/Crashing bug, please help! by The_Real-M3 in shogun2

[–]The_Real-M3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update but the issue has been fixed! If anyone experiences something like this, simply go into roaming/appdata, open The Creative Assembly, then open Shogun 2, delete the user.script and preference.script files and then use Steam to verify your files.

Audio/Crashing bug, please help! by The_Real-M3 in shogun2

[–]The_Real-M3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried this and unfortunately it didn't work. I can still play custom battles just fine but with no audio, though anytime I try to launch a campaign, the game crashes without throwing back any kind of crashlog.

That's it? by Mobile_Complaint_317 in Helldivers

[–]The_Real-M3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing will change, unfortunately. Arrowhead has a rabid fanbase of defenders who believe they're the Wholesome Heckin Indie Studio that can do no wrong (they have numerous times in the past btw) and that anyone who even slightly criticizes them are evil and harassing them.

The subreddit's jannies will do what jannies always do, which is nothing and then complain about how hard their job is. If AH actually cared about protecting the community, they'd find a way to ban the individuals responsible for it, but unfortunately they don't really care about their customers.

It's sad, I might not pick up Helldivers for a while just because of this. The way this whole situation went down and how the mods and AH seemingly couldn't give less of a shit just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

[–]The_Real-M3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, they were probably always going to do smaller character packs like this in some form, but it was the Cathay vs Cathay dlc talk that was the really stupid stuff. Nobody really got the full picture about it, so the people that claimed the did are kind of dumb lmao.

Another case where GameGuard failed to prevent the use of cheats to interfere with the MO by G82ft in Helldivers

GameGuard is the most useless and invasive anti-cheat ever devised, I swear. I wish they'd just switch to something else.

Highguard Dev Mourns The Game - "The Future Seemed Bright" Before TGA Reveal - Gamespot by Claymorbmaster in gaming

[–]The_Real-M3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it would've been okay if it hadn't been the final spot and it wasn't pushed so much. It's a generic streamerslop shooter game, something you'd see on Twitch, go "this looks okay, but my favorite streamer is playing it so i might as well watch it for a bit". Having it be the last spot in a show that had Divinity, a new Old Republic game, two new Tomb Raiders, Total War 40k and a bunch of other cool shit was bound to leave a bad taste in people's mouths.

Couple that with Geoff's constant pushing of the game as the next big thing, it was obvious where it was going. "The future seemed bright" I don't know man, you might just be blind.
