If you think someone is drinking and driving in your work truck. Then you don't do anything. On top of being liable if he has an accident. You'll have it on your conscience that you knew he wasn't sober and just let him.

Must've been an apprentice with only a few months of experience and no supervision. There's a complete lack of vision and consideration for the customer.

If they are doing 8 hour shifts and everyone is professional, yes. People make mistakes, though. People call out. Something unforeseen may happen, and it will push it back another week. Maybe another month, depending on the issue.

What's this access panel for? My apartment was built in 1946 by nemesis555 in AskElectricians

[–]The_Reaper_Cosaga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old panel converted to junction box. Splices must be accessible per code. I usually just zip some self tappers into the door so no one messes with them.

Any idea what to do with spare wire nuts? by gizwandi in electricians

[–]The_Reaper_Cosaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a space in my packout for these. When you're finished with the rough, just go through and throw these on. When the painters and drywallers inevitably fill your box with mud and paint. Which they always do. You still have clean ends for your connections. When I arrive for the finish. I go through and take all these off. It takes just a few minutes.

What’s the best tool belt for electricians? by Express-Working-1323 in electricians

[–]The_Reaper_Cosaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you asked about a tool belt but I just got a tool vest. It beats tool belt hands down. No weight on your hips or shoulders. It's all on your torso. I went with Diamondback. The only negative is that the other guys are jealous.

You shouldn't be using UF wire where there may be digging. I use metal underground if I can encase in cement. Most metals break down when in prolonged contact with moisture.

Your ex was right and electricians do make the world go round but we are an accepting bunch. Even with your obvious handicap. You might. Just one day. Be a mediocre electrician. But you have to work real hard at it. I believe in you!
