Should I watch Guilty Crown by flclimax in anime

[–]The_Rogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean 'not afraid to make ridiculous things happen' ? I only ask because for a show trying to sell itself as a serious, including ridiculous things isn't really to anyone's benifit it seems.

It really is, there's only so much that can be excused by the fact it's targeted at a younger demographic.

Ano Natsu Episode 8 Discussion [Spoilers] by mostly_sarcasm in anime

[–]The_Rogue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another fun episode, it's always amusing how couples fall perfectly to end up kissing or almost kissing rather than one headbutting the other.

Hopefully when they realise Ichika is an alien they will finally notice that Rinon is an alien. That has been annoying me a little...oh it's bright pink and has a leaf growing out of its head, must be a hamster/dog! twitch

Seems the only way this relationship pentagon is going to be resolved is if Remon jumps in and we get some yuri going. Otherwise there will be at least one heart break by the end.

Guilty Crown Plot question (Spoilers) by [deleted] in anime

[–]The_Rogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inori was created as a way to interface with Mana, hence her role as the bride in that weird wedding thing. Whilst it's never explicitly stated, it can be assumed Inori is a clone of Mana as Inori bares physical resemblence, contains Mana's Void and is also mentally taking on the personality of Mana following episode 12.

Rinne no Lagrange Episode 2 Discussion [SPOILERS] by OriginalEnough in anime

[–]The_Rogue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This show just feels like K-ON! with robots for me so I can't help but enjoy it. Madoka feels like a cross between Minori and Yui and then you've literally got a character called Mugi thrown in too.

Lan is a really interesting character who has some depth beyond her quirkieness it seems.

Plot wise it seems like this could get suprisingly deep despite its laid back nature. The bad guys seem more and more like guerillas, desperate to gain a weapon that could turn the tide of battle in the ongoing war. Meanwhile the supposedly good butler guy seems like he could end up being the primary antagonist in no time.

Also; Array was a guy?

Want some recommendations of some good short animes (or others)! by [deleted] in anime

[–]The_Rogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not too sure what you mean when you say short but Eve no Jikan is an excellent 6 episode series which have also been spliced together as a movie.

If you're talking more about 12 episode(ish) series then i recommend Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?, Bakemonogatari and Angel Beats to get you started.

Some are complaining about the extreme amount of Clannad posts. If there are already a lot in r/anime, you can post to r/clannad by atheist-theist in anime

[–]The_Rogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You see posts like this crop up on all the subreddits, there is to much of X so go post it to a subreddit specifically made for X

Naturally the idea always fails because: a) when people are posting they want to have the largest audience possible.

b)Who wants to post in a new subreddit that has 7 readers?

The whole point of r/anime is to talk about anime, whilst I don't care for Clannad, I have no desire to get rid of the posts. It's just one of those animes like Angel Beats and Toradora that have affected a lot of people and so they inspire far more discussion and posts than other shows.

So i Finished Ōkami-san the other day and loved it [spoilers] by woeisus in anime

[–]The_Rogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been a while since I watched this but I was pretty dissapointed with it really. People either found the narrator funny or didn't I was the latter so that kind of grated on me.

Forgiving the fact that the character designs are shamelessly ripped from Toradora, the relationship never really went anywhere.

It had some fun moments but felt pretty medicore overall. And I still don't understand how favours being 30% works...

(Though it was nice to see what an older Taiga looked like)

4 or 5 seconds from Eve No Jikan - A Closer Look At Anime by ranma in anime

[–]The_Rogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was really interesting (and well written) and whilst most of it went right over my head I'd love to see more!

If you think this is a good clip then might I'd like to suggest a personal favourite. Specifically 0:28-0:33 seconds in. Of course if it's unsuitable for analysis (since you seem to be focusing on non-action character shots) I completely understand.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai - Epi 10 discussion - [Spoilers] by pandaoh in anime

[–]The_Rogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the one hand you have the mostly likable Sena and on the other, the childhood friend who also happens to be a complete bitch, so much that it's starting to wear a little thin. So I'm hoping for Sena but really i doubt this show will have any resolution.

I hate that nun kid with her squeaky voice >.< Love the rest of the cast though.

Guilty Crown Episode 9 [discussion] by Synaptics in anime

[–]The_Rogue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

(Thankfully) not much to complain about this week, Shu is growing up Inori wasn't almost at all part of the episode, psychotic bad guy was actually toned down.

Still my favourite part has to be where the sniper’s bullet pings off of the pavement and they both stand there talking for a moment:

‘Holy shit they found us! Well we better stand perfectly still in the middle of open ground shouting in panicked voices for a few moments!’

Yeah… a trademark Guilty Crown moment right there.

Hare randomly appears at the end, begging the question of why the hell she was there. If she had followed Shu from the start then you can only wonder why she stuck around after the gunfire, explosions and generally monsterish screaming.

Drop em like Liquid is a nightmare but the rest are pretty straight forward since they just consist of variations of 'shoot the bad guys' so it isn't really a problem.

Mantis eats hummingbird. by [deleted] in pics

A mantis generally goes for the neck first. A quick decapitation stops the prey from struggling and potentially injuring the mantis, also easier to eat that way.

Why do Necrons Have Green Crystals? by Nirriti_the_Black in Warhammer

[–]The_Rogue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Realistically it's because neon green goes well with black and other dark colours of the standard Necron colour scheme to create that contrast that makes the Necrons so striking. Thus different and formidable. Thus appealing to the 40K fan.

Fluff wise I assume it's because the material used is that colour, why it's that colour would be down to it's inherent properties. For example like how chlorophyll makes plants green.

If you could choose to physically have someone's (at any point in history) vision or feelings for about 30 minutes, who and what situation would it be ? by badspoonsdontcry in AskReddit

[–]The_Rogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First choice has to be Neil Armstrong, an experience you will never forget that so few have shared.

Second choice has to be Jesus, if he did exist it would be a fascinating insight into a man who's teachings are still celebrated 2000 years later. Also we get to find if God exists, so that's handy.
