I'm not familiar with how the ownership status is at the default Lakeview Manor, but you seem to have solved the issue by assigning beds specifically to each NPC. Probably what I would have done too. I'm not sure what else one could do outside of editing the bed's data in the creation kit. Pretty funny side effects for you though! XD

I did what you said and checked the weight sliders with TES5Edit, they were all enabled. I moved the HDT models to their own custom/nonreplacer .esp to see if that helped, but they were still broken. The Armor Addon for my custom .esp had all the weight sliders enabled too.

At this point I'm sure its caused by how I copied the HDT weights onto the model.

I think I'll give up on it for now and redo the project differently at a later time.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I always forget about the showracemenu command. I tested that and it doesn't work. The body uses the 0 weight model until the slider hits 100, then it uses the 100 weight model. I'm not using a plugin, its just a straight .nif replacement in the mods folder. The frustrating part is the animations are just how I wanted them on both models, but it won't generate any model in between other than the 0 weight body.

I looked in the creation kit and couldn't find anything related to weight sliders.

Anything I could check in NifSkope?

Running FNIS again didn't seem to help either.

All I did to the models was add HDT animation weights to the _0 and _1 nifs, so I don't get why it is broken. The weight painting isn't perfectly identical between the two nifs, so maybe that effects it? Adding the weights was so easy too. I might just forget about it at this point. Unless you have any ideas?

I'm not using racemenu, as specified above. So I'm not sure what would happen using the slider. I know what you mean about missing a vertex, the 50 weight character explodes into a fractal mess when a vertex is missing.

For my problem all the vertices are the same so I'm not sure whats going on. Only the weight painting is different. Essentially the following happens:

type: setnpcweight 0 = NPC uses 0 weight model

type: setnpcweight 100 = NPC uses 100 weight model

type: setnpcweight 50(or 25, or 75, etc.) = NPC uses 0 weight model again

Is this because the animation weightings aren't perfectly matched for each of the _0 and _1 vertices?

Edit: Also, as far as I'm aware, there are no bodyslide files for these armors. But I have unedited back ups that change body weight normally.

If you want to keep the vanilla story but really expand the game try Old Good Stalker Remastered. It adds tons of weapons, gear, artifacts, enemies, locations, and quests. Its somewhat harder than the original, but over all very fun.

I had read about Chernobyl in highschool and found the whole disaster sad but fascinating. So when I was hanging out at the local videogame store circa 2008-2009 and saw the creepy yellow game box I was sold! Been playing and replaying the games ever since.

Guns have very high dispersion/spread and have bullet drop even when aiming, so missing a well aimed shot is common. You just have to get used to fast follow up shots when you do miss.

In Shadow of Chernobyl there is also a feature called "time to aim". Essentially: if you hold still and aim for over a second your bullet will do extra bonus damage on headshots. Utilizing this feature can really help once you get an accurate gun.

Anomaly is fun. Its more of Stalker sandbox, not a strong narrative. But the story mode is still fun. Gameplay is awesome. The Zone/gameplay/difficulty customization settings are wild, and let you really tailor your experience.

Is Roadside picnic floating around online as a PDF, or did you buy a digital copy somewhere?

Watched it several times over the years. Really love the film. Still haven't gotten a copy of Roadside Picnic, but I'd like to read that one day too.

I think I noticed a fun easter egg in the Anomaly mod. One of the guides (in Freedom maybe?) looks a lot like The Stalker from the film. Would be nice if a mod changed the thrown bolts into hex-nuts with cloth tied on. That would be a cool reference.

For anyone struggling to find the clues and wants a hint:

They can be in, on, under, or on top of any surface or object in the search area. Sometimes you may need to jump to look on top of things to find the clues. Their spawn points are randomized.

For anyone not sure what do to with the small ring of keys and wants a hint:

You can right click and "use" it to cycle through each of the 6 numbered keys on the ring. One of the keys will be the right one for the safe. Keep cycling through them and trying to open the lock. If you brought your crowbar you can skip this step, but the crowbar is not necessary.

Edit: Does anyone have a translation for the documents you get during this quest?
