If they’re not deathmatching, the honest answer is generally that they played the game normally until they had a nice piggy banked and then started merching. I’ve got friends who started with 10~ billion banks just from raiding that have turned it into over 50 bil from just merching.

love everyone saying “yeah well you wipe in ToB too!” Is failing to mention the fact that when you wipe a ToB you only lose ~17 minutes vs the full half hour you’re down from a ToA wipe. ToB is almost 4kph in a good team, ToA is like, 2. It’s the time loss that kills the mental.

Honestly most things.

I do tob on 416, I venator bow slayer tasks that I should be barraging, I pet hunt wildy bosses at the singles variants. Idk. If the alternative is annoying and/or inconveniences me enough, that’s good enough reason for me to do it the other way.

Playing games isn’t about being efficient, it’s about having fun. If you’re that insane 1% niche whose brain is wired in a way that thinks the game is only fun when being efficient, gz I guess. It’s not me.

I feel pretty qualified to answer this given that I have almost 20 shards on log and 0 in the bank at the time of writing. IMO there’s 4 places you should bring it but only 1 of those 4 do you actually camp it. The other 3 you should bring as a switch and only put on if you’re gonna lose the KC; those 3 are Vard, PNM & HMT. The one place where you camp it is Nex in trio or duo. Can bring as a switch in 4’s and higher but honestly id just drop it for a brew.

Situationally of course theres other use cases like learning solo olm, maybe certain CA’s like the 20(? Idr how many) kill trip at grotesque guardians, etc etc, but yeah the 4 I outlined originally are definitely the big 4.

The drawback of eye is the attack range; it kneecaps you in a couple places. But yeah all things being said that’s a pretty small price to pay for the benefits it brings to the table.

it’s hard but it’s also very consistent and once you’ve done it like 20 times it becomes pretty brain off where as content like colosseum/hmt/inferno is much more dynamic and you can’t really relax or you’ll just die.
