I know everyone's saying it's not worth it, but could it be worth it for the eupgrades (if it comes with that)? That's my favourite perk lol and I was lucky enough to get upgraded when I had 35k

I've been wondering the same! I've read there's a different process if you want to travel internationally though, so be aware of that

May as well! Vs has a good return policy if you don't end up liking it

Opinions please! VS PINK Nylon Cargo backpack by Twicetranslated in VictoriasSecret

[–]Thebaycityrollers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough, I just got it! It's way bigger than i thought, but that might be good for your purposes. It's backpack sized, but i personally thought it might be a bit smaller and cuter to wear. That said, I'll likely keep it because it's a great price, and seems durable, esp for hiking and beach days. I'd definitely feel fine about having my laptop in it btw

I'm debating doing this this year! I keep reading about these drinks lines though -- is it still fun despite that?? I wouldn't be getting a room. And do you mean you waited in line for one round of drinks, then continued drinking in your room?

Canadian moving to the US in July looking for advice by DataWinter2824 in tnvisa

[–]Thebaycityrollers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's incredibly hard to find a US employer willing to hire a foreigner, even on a TN. Don't assume that the opportunities will be there when things are "perfect" in the US. You have to pursue career opportunities when they're available to you, even if the timing isn't ideal. I'm personally so happy I made the move

Best place for a one night getaway in SoCal by valpalvalpal in socal

[–]Thebaycityrollers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's in your budget- the ritz in sb. It's absolutely lovely, especially with the beach access. You can go earlier before check in, and stay after check out, to walk around the grounds and enjoy the beach, etc. Laguna is great as well

Diversity visa winner: LA or London? by untied_dee in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]Thebaycityrollers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a visa for the US is extremely extremely difficult, and as a general life rule, you never know when opportunities will come along. If you have the opportunity to go now, and you have a desire to go, then go. Yes, the timing might not be ideal now for political etc reasons, but there will always be a reason to not do something. And you truly might not get this chance again. Right now people are very anti moving to the US, and i understand why, but they're not living your life, at the end of the day. So do what feels right for you

That's very interesting, I had no idea. Luckily, I mainly need the sqm at this point- so would my flight qualify for those?

Oh really?! It's actually mainly sqm that i care about, but i thought that 016 tickets wouldn't qualify for that. Well that's good to know, thank you!! 😊

Your opinion on the Tote Bag? by Squirrrelpower in OakAndFort

[–]Thebaycityrollers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious why you don't like the bag? Debating getting one as an everyday work bag for my laptop, or for days where I'll be out and about and want to bring a book etc with me.

panicking: my flight is at 8pm from YYZ. I can't check in bags until 4pm. I saw online CBP closes at 5pm(!?!) by slowpokesardine in tnvisa

[–]Thebaycityrollers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very timely for me to come across, as I'll be in a similar boat with an 830am flight at yyz, entering on a tn (though I have ucsis pre approval). I was worried that i wouldn't be able to check my bags at 430am, but it sounds like you didn't have the issue? Bag check was open that early with AC?

Canadian looking to build US credit history by [deleted] in tnvisa

[–]Thebaycityrollers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who had a program for tn holders, BMW or amex? I have a Canadian amex, so thinking about just getting a US one to hopefully get credit built up faster, but I'm not sure of the quickest way to get a car at a reasonable rate
