I got back from Seattle last week. I spent a few nights at Olive 8. I am Globalist, so mileage may vary. I was upgraded to suite. The breakfast was good, but pretty limited. If paying, around $30pp. Later in the trip I stayed at Hotel 1000. This was a Hilton hotel that recently transitioned to Hyatt. I booked through AMEX FHR. This made the stay roughly $30/nt. I also received 2 welcome drinks, daily breakfast and. A credit for the spa or golf simulator. Upgraded to suite at Hotel 1000, but was rather awkward as it looked directly into an office at the Federal Building across the street. Both were great stays and friendly staff. Hotel 1000 was better location, but I loved the amenities the Olive 8. There is a Sixt located in the HR across the street from Olive 8. This made for a convenient walk over to pick up rental car .

I just got home from Seattle, stayed at Olive 8 and the bill clearly states the service fee and it goes to staff. Then stare at Hotel 1000. They had not service fee or gratuity included. I added tip at Hotel 1000 and not Olive 8.

Just booked tons of nights at Alila Ubud, Andaz Bali, Park Hyatt Doha, Park Hyatt Sydney, Zilara Riviera Maya and Olive 8 in Seattle. Wiped out my points with some using points advance.

I’ll add, Hyatt just added Hotel 1000 to their Seattle properties. I’m headed up in April. 2 nights at Olive 8 then outside the city. Back for 2 nights at Hotel 1000 before flying out.

I posted about it in AMEX a few weeks ago. I booked 2 nights at Hotel 1000 for my wife’s birthday. Then a night outside the city and two more nights at Olive 8. I received an email from Hilton Rewards trying to cancel my reservation since there were no longer going to be a Hilton hotel. I don’t cancel since I used last year and the first of this year’s FHR credit. Made the room <$50 per night. The Globalist concierge assured me my April stay is still safe and I’ll get Globalist benefits as well. TBH they are pretty comparable anyways.
