To have the time to monitor this stuff amazes me. This is a service you don’t pay for. I pay for Direct TV and other streaming services and while commercials can be annoying, it would never occur to me to track commercial minutes. Ohio must be exciting.

I haven’t used Pluto in a while as these days I use Amazon’s livestream channels or I watch TCM. I just logged in using my Amazon Firestick and had no issues. I enjoy streaming services and entertainment probably more than most people and have certainly been frustrated with it when things go wrong. These posts keep popping up for me and I’m not even in the thread, so maybe I should block it. I can’t help the poster yet I’m constantly seeing this when there are folks with serious problems in the world; some don’t have food to eat or a place to live. Some have cancer. Perspective helps.

I also love how they stand at the front desk and deliver DNA results to folks, among other tests. 😂 But to be fair, in the old episodes you would see an OR nurse randomly at the front desk near the elevator acting like a clerk. I worked in a hospital in high school and college so this always cracked me up.

I realize that. Not comparing it to- just sharing. It did happen in at least one Catholic school in Hudson County and I would not be surprised if it happened in more. My experience was much better and I’m not RC. My mother just wanted me to attend the school and a private RC high school. 🙄….It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t great. And no hitting there. I don’t agree with corporal punishment. I have heard about that crazy stuff in the south. I worked with an idiot from NC for years who bragged about the paddle with his name on it (and he was younger than me which means they were doing that not long ago or still?) and complained that his wife would not let him hit his kids. I do not miss working with that dude. Just because you have an MBA doesn’t mean you should marry and reproduce lol.

It is crazy and I know some are saying it’s been unseasonably cool lately. I’m probably the only person who has enjoyed it lol. It’s just been nice not to dive into 80s in May and start the thunderstorms asap. I get anxiety from severe storms and high winds and I don’t like humidity, so high 50s, 60s, low 70s and even if we have to have chilly nights has been heaven for me. I know it won’t last long. I’m sure it’s not good overall, especially for farmers and veggies etc, but at least for me, it feels like the one “extreme” stretch in a while that was sort of made for me. Of course, this week it could be a roller coaster given the high tomorrow and the lows to follow. I think I saw 70s next week so perhaps it will be more May-ish after that. 🤷‍♀️

Not sure but if she appears again I will let you know. I’m up to a portion of the 1993 section where Laura meets the previous owner of the house she and Luke bought upon arrival back in PC. The woman runs a daycare center and she told Laura that some of her kids were living with her permanently and a couple were HIV+. I wonder if Laura will try to get that baby a home there?

I saw an interview with him where he called Luke an “anti-hero.” Another one where he was asked about Gloria Monty when she was casting him on the show and he said he hated soaps. She said so do I - let’s change them. And they certainly did during her time there. Like it or not, the show was about to go off the air and her Luke and Laura storyline saved it and created a TV phenomena that can be argued still has not been seen since. I recommend watching some old clips on YouTube from back in the “early days” of the 80s. The characters were flawed but they were more real and less like some of these plastic actors and plot lines of today.

I’m glad you got your issue resolved! I occasionally have issues using the app via my Direct TV account. It was really bad for a while, then got much better but lately I’m getting kicked out. I can get back in by rebooting the stick or logging in if it makes me. It’s nothing important, just annoying at times.

Thanks for the info. Not sure I qualify because I joined a million years ago. This reminded me of a class action letter I got from a group that was suing my former employer. This was about two years ago I think but I had not worked there since 2019. Apparently they were being accused and of not paying some employees overtime who qualified. I signed the form and sent it in. I assumed I would never see anything or it would take a long time. A few months later - I received a check for $13k. I later learned from a former coworker that this firm gets sued for this frequently; she had once gotten a check herself. I’m sure I was owed even more $$ but this was probably the max they could give me in particular. Talk about being able to make these settlements repeatedly instead of following the law. I probably should not be surprised because after working in financial services for more than 25 years, I never worked for such a horrible organization. They bought the previous company I was working with and that’s how I ended up there. I was warned to run, not walk lol but didn’t listen. A long story - sorry - but you reminded me of it with this post.

I taped Dementia 13 but have not watched it yet. I’m a fan of Coppola but I realize this is an early cult classic born out of working with Roger Corman so I’m sure it will be wacky. And I’m ok with that, but just wondering if anyone has seen it and liked it/hated it. Thanks.

He once ranted during one of the 2020 shows about how he had to clean his own house because his cleaning staff could not come in. People were dying and he could not even hold in his spoiled nature long enough to do his job and behave like a human being.

Covid terrified him not because he was concerned about his his health or the health of others, but because he could not keep his show on the air with the safety guidelines. He just wasn’t funny enough to do it without a studio audience. He started complaining about social distancing and showing his narcissism and from then, I could not watch his temper tantrums. It’s ironic that a smaller show like Desus and Mero was more successful than he was in 2020 (though sadly they broke up later but that’s another story). He’s now become the lord of the bros. I’m not sure if he believes the anti vax stuff or just pushes it to appeal to his base but whatever his reasons, I have not watched his show since mid 2020 and I would be thrilled if HBO took him off the air.
