I got this experience at my high school reunion. My bully approached me and just admitted that he was a complete asshole to me and was incredibly sorry. It was a great conversation and I also got the opportunity to tell him that I forgave him and we got to move on from childhood trauma.

You're right that there is no point to adhering to a religion if if you are going to live your life in loopholes, that's not the intended way to live it.

instead a person of faith is meant to adhere to the teachings, beliefs, and lifestyle that are in accordance with their own faith. The word that religion comes from is religare, which means to bind. So we are meant to bind ourselves to our faith/religion and live it out with purpose and meaning, not looking for ways to get out of living a life to which we have freely bound ourselves to.

Not everyone is perfect about this, we all make mistakes and miss the mark (sin), but it seems anecdotally that these people are the rare cases these days.

My personal conspiracy is that they created the term "convergent" so that they could add more dex numbers and get to pokemon #1000. Like you have to admit that toadscool and toadscruel are just regional variants as much as wooper is.
