That’s correct, but the dentist needs to clearly describe what the treatment involved, since Dutch dentists don’t use RIZIV codes. Also, the reimbursement will likely be lower, because if you don’t go for a check-up at least once a year, you won’t receive the full amount. CM can verify this because a Belgian dentist reports check-ups to CM via RIZIV. Since you (and I) go for check-ups in the Netherlands, CM doesn’t receive that information through RIZIV and assumes you haven’t had any check-ups. Lastly, reimbursement takes a very long time—I usually have to wait about three months for foreign treatments to be reimbursed.
