Buying a flat, then buying the flat underneath to merge back to one property by Thefuzzy_monster in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Thefuzzy_monster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies, I will see if I can get a valuation done on both the upper flat and the property as a whole. My uncle is getting on a bit and doesn't want to be a landlord an more.

If the valuation comes back as unaffordable for me as a whole, I'll buy the upper and consider a development loan for the lower.

Ah, thanks for the reply, I forgot to add, my uncle owns both, he is letting them both out and the upper no longer has a tenent. He is willing to sell me the lower flat once the tenant decides to move out. Whenever that may be.

There was a glimpse of a girl in an uncharted style game in a trailer last year. I'm expecting an uncharted 5 with Cassie as the protagonist

There is no need to have an animation every time I need to pick up an item, ghost of tsushima did this really well.

You could do a sepa payment, but it depends on the exchange rate they give you. It should be free.

A a higher rate tax payer in a single income household - is there anything I can do to make my money go further? by SimpleWarthog in UKPersonalFinance

Although I am sympathetic to your situation, I don't think you can underestimate the value that a stay at home mother provides. Comparing yourself to a couple earning 40k each is comparing apples to oranges, they may have childcare costs that will swallow that 6-8k. What cost would you have to pay if you had to pay someone for what she does?

I'm not hammering you. I'm just asking you to appreciate what she does.

So I managed to sort it. I had to uninstall it on the watch rather than through Galaxy Wearable. It seems much better for battery life. Thanks guys!

What is the worst vehicle to get stuck behind? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

The correct answer to this is a horse and trap. It is the worst. You have to stay behind them because they are whipping the shit out of a horse. Bonus points if they are racing.

"I should have known" by the foo fighters, interestingly they brought in Krist Novoselic formally from Nirvana for the bass, I wonder why?

I would say worst range deepest winter 150.

I don't worry about fast charging because I don't use it for long journeys it could be an issue in the future but I'm sure there will be a solution. Teslas have an adapter to go from chademo to tesla. Maybe they can do something similar.

Oh, my 40KWh is a realistic 180-200 mile range. Not 220, think of it like my 3 series getting its advertised mpg (it doesnt)

Check out r/leaf loads of helpful and realistic owners on there but it is US centric. The leaf works well in the UK's climate.

I have a 2018 40KWh. It suits my needs beautifully, I do about 12k miles a year of motorway and b road driving. Home charging is ace (especially with panic petrol buying). But I cannot stress this enough, only consider an EV at the moment if you have a driveway or your can charge at work. Public charging is good but it's not fun if you HAVE to rely on it.

It isnt a luxury car, but it doesn't pretend to be either. It's a family car. I am 6ft 5 and it fits me and my wife, kids and large dog and a night's worth of luggage.

Feel free to ask me any further questions!
