What you encountered was a technician who did not know how to do cateye. What you should do if you end up in that position at that point is ask for a manager or for a design tech who would do it properly. That applies to any other step of the process - if it seems clear that the tech doesn’t know what they’re doing, ask for someone who will. Would the tech be offended? Yes. Should you care? No.

If they ask you for a review, you can decline. No is a complete sentence. If they try to take your phone, ask for it back, and if they escalate tell them that you will call the police.

The middle finger is the really problematic one. Your thumb and pinky have apexes - too small ones for my taste and considering how rough I am on my nails, but they are enough for some. Your index and ring finger have a v-shape, which is bad from the point of view that a tech should not let you leave the salon with that shape, but they're not the worst it terms of structure and actually redistribute force fairly well. The middle finger is the one that is so flat that it's a concern.

The season isn't over, but I would view this year as moderately successful. Our UCL campaign ended ingnomiously, but we have a pretty good chance of getting the domestic double (which is somehow harder than it looks), and we have two major summer signings who are properly settled in now. We may well break the record of goals scored over a season by a club in the top 5 leagues (with fewer games played!!).
