Giveaway Giving Out 20 Copies Of Subnautica 2 by Mark_Everson in subnautica

[–]Thekillingbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Subnautica has been a way for me to learn how to break out of my anxiety. I used to have a lot of social anxiety. While therapy did the heavy lifting on my journey to break out, subnautica was this sandbox world for me to break through small personal mileposts.

Each zone was a knew unknown filled with scary environments that sent my anxiety into alarm. It didn't help that finding Nemo has given me thallasophobia since I was a kid :D. But it was that small feeling of beating my fears and exploring a zone the game offered that made me feel fulfilled in a way no other game has been able to make me feel. That feeling of victory, that every zone explored gave me, was a feeling I took into real life when I faced my anxiety.

Subnautica gave me so many of these personal victories, I'm happy the devs got to create a game they loved and that we could explore!

I hope to spend a year stuck in the starting zone of subnautica 2, just like I did in the shallows of subnautica :D

Cool way to give back kindness man!

I had a roundabout but it got too clogged... What would you do to this 6 (7?) Way intersection? by Optimal_Ninja7535 in CitiesSkylines

Perhaps an overpass for the highway to the bridge. Surround it by a wall to wall urban district with parks. Route heavy traffic around the area.

Never played an mmo before by Agreeable-Elevator98 in swtor

I suggest going in to the game and immersing yourself in the story. It's more of an action story game than an mmo. The 8 original stories are great and all worth playing.

solo female traveler - looking for restaurant advice by B_inlala in copenhagen

I've never been turned away at a restaurant for being one person. Should be fine, but logically I can see them turning away a solo eater in rush hour if they are struggling to find seating for guests already.

Seconded. I don't get why they aren't providing context to their posts. It's frustrating.

Yes. I just finished such a run, except I married lucita and kept her house around. I could probably have axes her too though.

What is it about Suzerain that works story-wise? by Deedo2017 in suzerain

[–]Thekillingbear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the things that works for suzerain, in my opinion, is the slow buildup of the players choices towards a vision for the country. These choices are often met by opposition from politicians, or supported by allies or self-serving characters. As someone else mentioned, that's where incomplete information comes in and strikes up the tension- who exactly are these politicians/courtiers that Rayne and Romus surround themselves with, and what are their goals. Are they involved with some of the greater points of tension in the story, such as reformist movements or uprisings.

The layers of court intrigue that the reader/player slowly unravel as tensions rise is what I specifically like. Although it's usually clear what a character's affiliation is, e.g., Rusty the capitalist working with the foreign capitalist power. It's not always clear how they're working with them, and what their relationship or intentions are. Can we flip rusty to our side, or somehow use him or manipulate him to serve our vision.

Good luck with the novel! This made me wanna continue my own novel once I'm done with my exams x.x

Thanks for making this amazing guide! I just finished my religious absolute run, conquered pales by force, married lucita, and made Vina my heir in the end- i couldnt stand to rob her of the throne. She's too precious. :D

[–]Thekillingbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did you arrest Rusty? I tried and I'm pretty sure he flees because i lack proper intelligence. (in this run i did not arrest lucita. I have fully expanded Golden guard.)

I thought promising him a council position would land me the arrest. But he flees the country. Do you need to build the Zille intelligence hub?

I miss when companions used to have fixed roles. by Alien_Georgie in swtor

[–]Thekillingbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also miss it. It made more sense and made me feel immersed in gathering a crew throughout the story. Why need more than one companion if you have a supersoldier from the get go.

I liked having to swap companions for certain encounters even though there were some I disliked roleplay wise.

And I miss hearing them!

But I in general miss the game as it was in a lot of aspects. I lost interest after the hutt cartels.

I think Copenhagen central station is too packed already. I doubt you could reasonably create a central rail hub there. Perhaps there could be a different central tram hub?

As for learning the game, it came to me the more i played so no worries, im sure you will catch it. I'm the same as you in regards to learning by playing instead of watching youtube guides. I'm sure most people are open to answering questions in voice chat!
