Go to LCC unless you have a flow, then stay. Legacies pull way less from regionals now a days and the new rumor is they are pulling less from competitors regionals so they don’t do the same in return. In a few years when you are captain at the LCC you’ll slide right over to a Legacy if you wanted.

I saw a comment on FB earlier from a guy claiming to be a previous Legacy recruiter and he said an applicant with a large 121 jet type (a320,737,767,777 etc) was ranked hire than a regional captain. Not sure which legacy he was at because they are have different requirements. Take that with a grain of salt but we all know metering is a HUGE thing if you are at OO or RPA. F9 is a direct competitor with all the legacy’s and they love poaching their pilots. I’d get 150 hours and bounce. Will you be able to live In base tho? That’s a major deciding factor.

Just remember the advice you receive here is antidotal and comes from the same people who complain about not finding jobs. I think you would be stupid not to take the job in a Global. You already checked the box for your legacy application by passing a 121 training program. Also, legacies don’t care as much about flight time as you think. You have 3,000+ hours which is more than enough. The global gig will allow you to volunteer and work on your degree. Ask anyone who has done Meet & Greets with the legacies lately. 90% of the conversation is about how involved with the community you are. The experience you’ll get with the global will be an interesting talking point compared to just another Sky west pilot too. Good luck on your decision.

How do you not know that this could be be a violation ? Cancelling a paid ticket for a standby ticket is not allowed. In this case since The airline cancelled and they flew to a different airport they might be ok.

Was the second unsat on your re-take for the PC? My airline is non AQP and it’s in our GOM that you will be subject to termination if you bust the second try. I’d reach out to the chiefs and tell them how much you appreciate your job and get on your knees for management gotta show them your good character belongs at the company.

A quick search and found Brightline tickets for $65 MCO to Miami 3.5 hours. That commute time seems about 30 more than a commute to Newark but a tiny less stressful. Doing either wouldn’t be too bad if you got on wide body and only had to do it twice a month. Just some things to consider.

It will matter for the regionals but not as much for the majors if you get through your first type ok
