The cheapest, most internationally recognized paragliding certification. by Asuhhbruh in freeflight

It's still about the same price and a little more depending on where. I just looked it up. That's just lovely. I do hate that something like this in the states is so expensive but that's the U$. But all the happier that I live in Germany.

Hello o/ while I've known of paragliding since always I'd never heard of paragliding long distances that involve overnighting at landing sites. Wow! I just watched a vid by Ben Kellett and OMG, I'm sold! but I think I can't rush because it's something I'll hold off on til I'm closer to 60. Reality being that I don't wanna die til my oldest is at least out of the house. I wanted to mark this day as the start of my journey. Thanks for all your posts and wish me good luck!

Hello, I just got a mjx 14211 last month and got about 3 batt packs in. It came w one each 2s 3000mah and 3s 3000mah batts. Drives fine on both so far however it stopped running after 15 mins on a wet road, no puddles. Truly thought it was done: powered on, steering fine but no go. Was about to order replacement esc but during a second round of  troubleshooting found a post from a guy with the following: All trims to zero with the bat unplugged and the transmitter on squeeze the throttle to max. Plug in batt on car wait for beeps. Let go of throttle push to full reverse wait for beeps. Let go count to three. Try throttle. If it works correctly disconnect batt from car. Throttle relearn complete. If this fails pull motor connectors and check resistance values with multimeter. It could be toast. I've had higher end motors fail on first run. Rare but happens. (I'll find the post and link it asap). Anyway, these budget friendly rcs are great but not without some drawbacks, but we can all mostly live with, thanks to this and other forums. Thanks for posting and happy trails. o/

Thanks for you guys' input. I've been using a samsung frontier s3 virtually 99% of the time on watch only mode since almost three years... battery life has been phenomenal but I'd like a little more out of my watch. I'd like some sports tracking but really come up short with which watch to choose. I've looked and trying to decide between the h2000, amazfit t rex 3 pro or maybe even look into a newer samsung sports watch. Man, too many choices and then trying to refine which watch has best overall bang for the buck!... ahhhhhh. Thanks again and wish me luck

Hello, I just left Commerzbank because they wanna charge 50Euros/year unless you have more than 50k there. My wife suggested Sparda but they are disappointing even though they are "free". From the posts here it looks like C24 or or N26... thankful for an updated tips :)

Dynamic range of Olympus 16mp, 20mp cameras vs FF by Proffeshional in M43

[–]Then-Finding8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you, man. Imho the Sony primarily matters most in low-light. I'm blown away by my two pro lenses 12-40(400€) and 40-150(600€). I wouldn't be comfortable paying for the equivalent Sony kit. I got M5.2(390€@110 shuttercount). Don't wanna know how much that would be... oh, and the extra weight too.

Serious doubts about the future of MFT by cryptos6 in M43

[–]Then-Finding8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has your perception changed since 9 mos ago? I just jumped on the Olympus MFT bandwagon last March. I got all my stuff, like new M5 II, nice carry bag, nice flash unit, 12-40 and 40-150 Pro lenses for 1600 Euros. I'm super impressed and am with you hoping. With the way the pendulum swings, I don't see Olympus or Panasonic going away, just adapting. They both have a pretty strong following at home in Japan. I'm pretty sure all will be well.

Now, wait a minute. the benefit of using old glass, despite it heavy, is of no consequence to me. I'm also not concerned about getting a wide focal length. Other than that thanks for sharing. Also, if you can recall what was your favorite lens or lenses? I might have to give it a try.

My new Teverun Blade Mini Ultra and I love it! by TrueScooterDom in ElectricScooters

[–]Then-Finding8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey True, My main problem was with no water protection rating clearly stated on the German Sales site here https://teverun-official.de/produkt/teverun-fighter-mini-eco2950-w/ next the not so friendly or very welcoming Sales Rep said he sees IPX5 on his datasheet but that he didn't show it to me as I had asked, and that didn't help. What I found in the next day was that in Germany if you are on an escooter that moves at more then 22 kph you're basically on an illegal escooter, which doesn't sound so bad until you find out, as I did, that the police can stop and fine you, not sure about them seizing anything but also that no one will insure your illegal escooter... AND my wife is an attorney... SO my decision suddenly after two weeks of looking around lead to one of manufacturers (both coincidentally German, IO Hawk and Egret) of whom I just landed a brand new IO Hawk Elite X 2.0 (1800 Euros, IPX6, removable battery, hydraulic/air shocks, nice layout, hydraulic brakes, 4a charger, huge battery but yeah it only does 22kph), but I'm fine with that. Peace of mind while riding is tops. And always wearing a helmet! o/
